Taken from our room the first night there...and the best weather of the whole weekend...except for the howling winds..lol

Probably the strangest town I have ever been in...no business district to do shopping in at all...no gas station...didn't even see a cop shop. The closest town that had anything like that at all was 25 miles away over a very twisty mountain road that takes 45 minutes to cross....no thanks, nice place to visit, but wouldn't want to live here.

Horray!! I finally have internet service back after almost a week...so I thought I would post this shot that I have been waiting to post...and now I am off for the night...Sam has a music video entered in the local film festival.

**Woo-hoo - Sam's video won first place for the college category...he is so amped and of course I am so proud. Here is his winning video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPhLNXqXoVU

The holly and the ivy,

now both are full well grown,

Of all the trees that are in the wood,

the holly bears the crown.

We dared to venture into the tiny little town of Bolinas...they do not like visitors, and every time the county puts up a sign with the towns name on Highway 1, the residents pull it back down. Needless to say, we didn't stay long..lol

Thank you all so much for visits, comments, invites and faves

SPLASH! Upside down, I use my arms to twist around and begin treading to regain equallibrium. I can hear her voice from up there on the boat, filtering down through the water "You lying, cheating bastard!" And then I open my eyes...

Amazing, other-worldly sand shapes are formed naturally by the changing ocean tides and strong winds, found only for about half a mile along the Netarts Bay, Oregon beach, about a 2 hour drive from Portland. The rare formations are about 6 x 6 inches in size, this one being the most unusual. I walk the beach fairly often, but have never seen another cone or any shapes as prominent as those found on Sept. 9th and 10th, 2013. The beach changes dramatically with every tide and never fails to impress.

This is a picture taken at Netarts Bay (close to Tillamook, Oregon) just as the sun was setting. I loved the light shooting down towards the water in this picture. It was a beautiful scene.

Just about every small shop and resturant we went into there was a resident cat around. Very friendly creatures they were too, coming up to you to get their head scritched. l couldn't help but think...never in America would you see this...

I do hope they wash off the table as soon as the kitty gets tired of looking out the window....lol

I have combined two Kreative People source images and tortured them to abstraction for TMI’s ITSO challenge, Abstract Art.
