The back of my monitor at work. The stickers are somewhat evenly divided between space nerdery and tech nerdery.
I put them here because I couldn't bring myself to disrupt the simplicity of my laptop. There are a couple more on the base (not shown).
I've been wanting to build my own Nerdly from Bricknerd.com for a while now and I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. I used the standard instructions, but reworked it to fit a large ball socket inside so he can tilt forward/ backward. I also used small ball sockets from the Mixels for the wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. DSCF1521

“I’m a nerd! I knew my skills were outdated when I was looking for work. I needed to boost my pension up, and I had lots of spare time so I did every computer course going. I went to word processing, publisher, spreadsheet courses - the lot. When a job came up, they took me on as I was the only teacher who could use a Smart Board. This was was over ten years ago when there weren’t that many around. I got encouragement from my husband, his boss often sends him files and I’ve got to help him download them! I don’t do HTML anymore, there’s no need and I’ve got a Raspberry Pi, but I don’t use that anymore either"
“It sent the TV haywire, I wasn’t so pleased about that”
“No, I blog as well, I’ll blogroll you!”

Sprites drawn on paper (circa end of the 80's). Some were copied from the TV screen from other games, others created by myself.
Most have the corresponding decimal/hex written on the page to be later used with source code.

This is the mental picture I got when I combined the pharaoh torso and the gymnast legs. Yeah, I'm crazy.
Jock: Ha ha! Hey Nerd, whatcha doin' in my sports jacuzzi lounge pond?
Nerd: It's not YOUR sports jacuzzi lounge pond, it's MY World of Warcraft roleplay pond!
Jock: Oh yeah? Well...
mec-chan gave me this chick for Karen, she seems happy with it, says he will call Sir Callaghan, because she thinks that it is a cult and cool name.
-------------------------------------------------------
