I'm actually kinda surprised I never built an official 'Borg Cube' - I've done a Greeble World but always wanted to take on the greeblist of builds.
Still not as big as I wanted to be, but one thing I really wanted to try to accomplish with this build was the proper 'layering' that's in the cube with the glow underneath.
It's about 2 bricks tall of 'greeble' to achieve the layers.
A little something to inspire you to build a Nerdly! ;)
I tried the glasses over the gate first, but that made the dark grey around the entrance look like a mustache... So I went for a two headed castle instead!
More pictures on Blockheads.
Kind of borrowed some layout cues from my Baby Builds Castle.

I’ve enjoyed Bricknerd‘s content for years, so was super excited to see its reboot and had to participate in the Nerdly Strikes Back contest.
John pointed out that glasses could look cute on the penguin design I did as a Christmas bauble, and to keep him from being lonely I added a new owl friend.

I think this is actually adorable, shows up his geeky side coz no matter how hard he tries to hide it I know he is :D
Classic Andy Griffith show - Barney Fife character..It doesn't seem right without some text to the side."Well Otis pass the Hooch!"...
Gotta promote the Nerdly strikes back contest over on Bricknerd.com a bit so here is my first entry!
(I can't win any of the prizes of course...but bragging rights counts for a lot, haha!)
So get in the game and head over to the site bricknerd.com/home/tag/Do+or+do+not+there+is+no+try for more details! Bribes and flattery towards the judges are encouraged ;)
I don’t use my notebooks gently. I see photos of people sharing what they have inside of their journals, all neat, tidy, and pretty. While I really enjoy seeing those photos, that is not my style. Not one bit. Mine are filled with messy scribblings that usually only I can read; a mix of print, cursive, and shorthand that keeps up with my brain the best. Entire paragraphs are scratched out, eventually pages start getting ripped out. The entire point for me is to use them, not make the insides pretty to share with the world. It’s a place for me to purge my brain of whatever I need to at the moment. It’s a wonderful chaos that I adore.
I think this is one of the reasons why I seek out covers that I find aesthetically pleasing. It’s a beautiful way to hold the mess from my brain. It’s also why I’ll only ever share the covers. What’s inside is for my eyes only and if any of it makes it to the outside world, it will be typed in a neat paragraph such as this.

I really don't think that much more needs to be said than that.

This is such a gorgeous burgundy jelly full of different sized holo particles! It isn't really chunky either, it lays flat and looks amazing!
This is only one coat!
Somehow got talked into a Harry Potter themed photo shoot... here are the nerds ..err.. I mean results ;)
As was announced today, our beloved BrickNerd is back! Dave Schefcik has gathered an impressive lineup of editors to revitalise the site and create a community-focused hub – something I just couldn’t say no to.
Our aim: A diverse platform that provides in-depth articles on MOCs and their creators, community-driven events and contests, detailed interviews and features, all of which celebrate our AFOL culture in all its intricacies.
But that's all just words – so feel free to bookmark the site again and see for yourself what we'll have in stock.
I for one am very excited! My first feature is going to cover how my building space and how my collection is organised – something that gets asked a lot! :)
And yes, of course the Nerdly had to be castle-themed :D
Since I spent Christmas far away from my bricks you get to see a rare render on my stream.
I should have removed my respirator for this photo. It made me look a little bit like Darth Vader. All I needed was a cape.
Hey hey ! It's nerdly smurf time...
I smurf this smurf for the nerdly smurf month organized by smurfy bricknerd site... I think it could be a smurf idea. Smurf it !!
In french we call it Schtroumpf !! As a comic strip fan... this look obvious for me :)
Done for NerdVember (6th entrie...)
My 4th and most likely last entry in the 2014 Nerdvember contest.
For this one I knew I was going to need some help to get the right effect... so, I reached out to my friend Pixelfox who happens to be a Photoshop Black belt.
I came up with the build, he gave it a bit of life!
Bonus "making-of"!
Here is a shot of how the Nerdly is built... and this picture will give you an idea of what some good picture edits will do to your MOC, enjoy!
