UPDATE: I'm happy to report that we found a permanent home for the puppy. He went to live with his new family on Saturday. His new name is Bandit.

"I have abilities." That's an easy one--no fear of people thinking less of you; you get to be someone's hero. It's all happy times, rainbows and sunshine.
Why is it that we have such a hard time asking for help? We'd rather muscle through carrying five bags of groceries and opening the door for ourselves rather than ask for assistance. It's crazy, and I'd love to see that kind of senseless pride go the way of the Titanic.
Needs and abilities go hand in hand. There's an huge element of necessary coexistence to the equation. To quote the old Scot, John Buchan, “Without humility there can be no humanity”.
We need needs. And I would argue, we need to admit every once in a while that we all have needs, and go one step further to actually asking for help.
I'll start things off: "I have needs."

Nothing around this place, except bald prairie. I think I will return when the farmer plants, would be interesting then too.

PUPPY NEEDS HOME....Someone found this puppy in a parking lot yesterday (05.15.09) and dropped him off at the animal clinic where I work. Because he has no home, they were
going to euthanize him. I couldn't let them do that!!! So I'm keeping him
for today until I find someone that will adopt him. He's the sweetest dog
ever. He's around 6 weeks old, and looks like a Pointer breed and could grow
to be medium-large dog. I'm taking him to the dog park now and see if
someone will take him, so please let me know ASAP if you would like him.
