I don't consider that this challenge needs to show me as smiling or relating to who or what I am posing with. As seen in the Berber Shop window.
My daughter asked me to post this in hopes of finding a forever home for Madison. Here's her story. (This is not my photo)
" I am a female Boston Terrier/terrier mix and about 2 and a half years old. I don't know what happened but one day my mom and dad were driving down the highway and they stopped at this place where there were lots of cars and people. They called it a rest stop. They took me out of the car and put me down and then got back in the car and closed the doors before I could get in. I thought it was a mistake and I sat down and waited for them to open the door for me, when they started the car and started to drive away. I ran after them as fast as I could go, but it was so scary with big cars coming from every direction, I just couldn't catch them. So, I just sort of sat down and waited for them to come back to get me. I don't know how much time went by, but I waited for awhile. I was very hungry and very thirsty. I didn't know what to do. Then a bunch of people saw me and came toward me. They were all circling around me and yelling and getting closer and they started to push me around. I was getting very scared, I just crouched low to the ground and tried not to move and was praying they would leave. All of a sudden a woman appeared and they all scattered away and she picked me up. She held me and stroked my fur and talked to me very gently and softly. She took me and put me in her car and she drove me for a long time. She brought me to the place where I am now. It is a shelter. I have a place to sleep and eat here and the people are very nice. But I am so bored because I am all alone. I am not allowed to play with other dogs because they say that I don't really know how to socialize with others. I don't know what that means. Whenever I am with another dog I run up to them and try to play, but they don't react very well to me. I don't mind not being able to play with other dogs as long as I could play with the humans but they don't have that much time to be with me here because there are sooooo many other dogs here and they need attention too, I guess. I have heard rumors though that we don't have to live here forever as long as a person comes and sees us and asks to adopt us. And if they are really nice and agree to take perfect care of me forever, then I can go home with them and live there with them forever. I would really love if that happens to me. I hope one of those people come very soon and asks to adopt ME!"
If everyone can pass this around maybe Madison can be the first doggie adopted for the new year! She is a little sweetheart, but would do best in a home without other dogs. She LOVES people.
