and just realized at this very moment that this could be a photo for the orange challenge in the shooting up group.

Taking a well needed sunshine slide break from work. Why? Because it's a long Monday after being off work for 2 weeks. Because students are due to get out of class soon and ready to drive me crazy all afternoon. Because it's sunny in Ca again. Because I actually can't "Flickr" at work so need to get some quick shots done. Then process back at home.
Oh yeah and because it is my First Day Hosting Flickr Group Roulette's Theme Day. My choice is Things You Do @ Work When No One is Looking. Lots of fun and a good release before telling those kids who's boss. Ok they really aren't that bad.

5th and last entry for round 2 of the Iron Forge 2025.
Seed parts were minifigure heads, I've used 10 here, 3 for the coffee cups, 1 for the grinder, 2 for the handles (portafilters) and 4 under the coffee machine.
Fun fact, I added that 5 on the side as a brand logo for the machine, it works just nice as it is my fifth build.

Shot this with a Meyer Optik Domiplan 50mm on 1.8 and used extension tubes. I created the bokeh with a bit of water. The purple colour is from the lavender plants.
You really have to view the full size photo. These Darren Heath-style shots are damn hard to pull off (the car was several hundred metres away) but I'm pretty happy with the result.
It's so great to be back behind the lens at a motorsport event again, the last time was that fateful day at Wales Rally GB when my 350D died on me in the rain!

When my heart was exploding with hurt and broken parts, you reached out for me. Like a older brother. Like two roots of trees attached at the heart. You are like a sibling I never had. This was from the end of my last roll of film from the west trip, which I brought to the Cincinnati Natural History and Science Museum last Monday for class. (We are redesigning exhibits in it, but I got distracted by all the sweet skulls and stuffed birds.)
Anyway, I still have loads of photos from my trip to share, so have no fear, those will be back. I just wanted to stare deep into the eyes to be hypnotized by this skull. Now, who's got some tumbleweed?
