Unlike every other man on Earth, he's trying to get rid of it.
So I need some advise on which product I should use to safely remove the flock and the paint underneath it. Should I use pure acetone? Rubbing alcohol? Nail varnish remover with or without acetone?? I'm a bit lost in everything I read on the internet about the matter.
Help!

No need to bundle up in the freezing cold this time—we watched the whole show in comfort. Totality rolled in around 4 a.m. MST, turning the moon into that incredible rusty red colour as it passed through Earth's shadow. Clear(ish) skies, zero wind chill, and just pure awe through the scope/camera.
Here are some shots Laurie captured right from the observatory—hope they give a sense of how magical it looked (and how cozy we stayed!).
Next total one isn't until NYE 2028. Who's planning a 2028 watch party? 😄

This photo was taken somewhere in Indonesia. Every time I look at it, it makes me think at how many of us in this world don't ever stop to think about how privileged we are in our daily lives. The simple act of taking a daily shower is a luxury not enjoyed by most of the people in this world.

This scenery is completely real but it needed a focal point not just a lone road–i.e. a person, a model to represent newness. I also needed to expand my Photoshop skills for post-edits. Kick the tires. See what this editing software can do. So I asked Adobe Photoshop's artificial intelligence image generator to provide a bride and groom. Wallah, let me introduce you to soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. AI. Pretty good, Adobe, but that couple does not look entirely real yet so I better keep them small.

Yes, those are gravestones that align the road. Those graves in this cemetery accentuate the ephemeral cherry tree blossoms in this photo that will soon be gone. Cherry blossoms symbolize the temporary brilliance of life and its shortness. I know. Grim. But that's life. Sorry Mr. & Mrs. AI, chances are that you'll divorce. You might have a lethal accident or if not that, you'll certainly die as your equipment degrades and stops. Or will you?

2nd sitting babies have not yet learned to catch insects or to fly - yet they need to be ready within days to fly 6000 miles south to their winter habitat.... and the parents (with help from the earlier batch of offspring) need to get them trained before they head off themselves, as they soon will regardless... to overwinter in southern Africa and return next April to these same nests in Kent, England. Amazing calls of nature. Amazing how FAST the adults fly in to feed their young, aiming at those yellow throats in the semi-darkness! (These scenes replicate my swallow-training series in June, with a first brood in Herefordshire). They apparently fly, on migration, about 300kms per day, taking about 5 weeks for the journey. Though occasionally spotted in Britain as late as early December and as early as February, those I've witnessed in Kent arrive almost routinely aroun 15 April and leave in early October.

If you are fed up with noise and pollution and need to get away from the city there is a few choises around Athens worth your efforts. If you do not want to travel far you can take a taxi to Mount Hymetos. This is only about 10 min from the center of Athens( and 5 from my house) and you are right in nature. It is a man made forest planted after the war, since the whole forest was logged during the war to provide wood for the Athenians under the German occupation. Today the forest is a protected area with public foot paths, lots of birds, tortoises and foxes. An excellent place for walking, hicking, mountain cycling and pic nicks. From there you will see all Athens at your feet all the way down to the sea. The view is amazing (if you are into city views that is)

Bit of a story here....
Some 29 years ago (yikes!) I arrived in Sheffield having transferred from London Ambulance to take up my new post at Longley Ambulance Station.
I filled a vacancy there due to a chap leaving and going off to Canada to start a new life over there in the ambulance service.
His name was/is Lou Gelsthorpe.
The other day I was sat in Middlewood Ambulance Station when a guy came in and asked if there were any 'old' ambulance men about..
I said no everybody was out bar me and the cleaners.
I asked him what he wanted 'old ambulance men' for and he said that he used to work for South Yorkshire Ambulance a while back but had moved to Canada...
The penny slowly dropped and I asked him his name.....
Yes! It was/is the same guy! Lou Gelsthorpe!
I was amazed at seeing him and then I told him that I was the guy who took his place at Longley Station 29 years ago... It was then his turn to be amazed...!
What a thing eh!
For me to be at Middlewood Station when he called in on the off chance & not even the station we were both at 29 years ago either!.
Amazing..!
We sat down and had a bit of a reminisce and I got out the station photo albums and we looked through them and he saw guys and gals that he recognised and even remembered names of! I had to point out the ones who had not only retired but had unfortunately died as well.. (bit sad but very good too!)
He couldn't stay too long but I asked if I could take a picture of him and put it up here on Flickr..
So I did! There he is in the top one with one of our newest vehicles.....
Plus for a 'context' view I have placed him (in the lower picture) leaning on the very vehicles that both he & I drove & worked from out of Longley Station, but of course not at the same time!

inhale you float, exhale you sink is the most basic lesson any aspiring scuba diver will need to learn, which, as in anything else in life seems to be easier said than done. but, through continuous practice and hours spent underwater one will eventually adapt to. once one masters this simple technique one can hover within a few inches from the bottom without moving. such a cool experience! the worst scuba diver is one who cannot control their bouyancy and agitates all the sand and sediments at the bottom which will obscure the visibility

In need of a quick time out amongst the hustle and bustle of a busy city? You find the nearest bench and take five minutes right? Wrong. You just roll in to the market square on your bicycle, strike a pose and rest your eyes for a moment or two. Wish I was this cool and relaxed!
