An Immature Bald Eagle just finished lunch. You can see some leftover "juice" above his eye in large or original view.
This guy was recovering and ready to be released back to the wild according to the people in the Wildlife Recovery Centre.
Ones out along the isolated track somewhere , Outback , far away from anywhere , civilisation .. you never know when you just might need one of these handy tools to get you out of a sticky situation .

Verdi, Nevada, 27 juni 2011 - In ongeveer tweeënhalve dag rijdt de door Amtrak geëxploiteerde California Zephyr van Chicago naar San Francisco (of eigenlijk Emeryville) aan de westkust. Aan boord genieten de reizigers van het uitzicht en vooral van de rust. Hier geen haastige overstappen en bagage die wel of niet de vlucht heeft gehaald. Met een aardige sleep Superliners en een bagagerijtuig zijn de General Electric Genesis P42 158 en P40DC's 816 en 815 net uit Reno, ofwel 'The Biggest Little City in the World' vertrokken. Ze beginnen hier op de grens met Californië aan de afdaling richting de kust over de mooie Donner Pass.

Verdi, Nevada, 27 June 2011 - In about two and a half days the California Zephyr travels all the way from Chicago in the Midwest to San Francisco (Emeryville) on the West Coast. On board during these 4,075 kilometers passengers enjoy the amazing views on the Western USA scenery, but above all experience peace and quiet. On board there is no need to worry about hasty connections on busy airports or if your luggage did indeed make it onto the next flight... You just sit back and relax. With a baggage car and a respectable number of Superliners on tow, Amtrak's Genesis P42 158 and P40DC's 816 and 815 run over the Truckee River bridge near Verdi. Train 5 has left casino town Reno (known as 'The Biggest Little City in the World') and is just about to start its descend into California via the beautiful Donner Pass.

My baby was bitten by a baby rattle snake early this morning/late last night, he was given anti venom and kept at emergency ER to keep watch. He was bitten inside of his mouth 😢

Actually i need a lot of things at the moment that would make this world slightly less anoying.
Dont worry thats not a cry for help i am just fed up hearing nothing but bad news on the news, Why can't we inform the population ofthe good things that happen because i am sure they do happen. Maybe if the news was a good mix of informative really need to know and light hearted good news them maybe we would all be so darn angry all the time.
Just a thought.

This is down at the Guest Services desk on deck 1. Evidently there was a leaky pipe and these fine gentlemen were assigned to get it fixed. They must have done a good job since they weren't there on a subsequent visit!
When you take a cruise holiday your every need is catered to and you've got nothing to worry about.
Sometimes it's easy to forget that there are a LOT of of people both in the front and back of the house that make things happen for your dream vacation. Folks that aren't on holiday, they're working at their jobs to provide for their families back home.
If you should ever go on a cruise I hope that you won't forget these folks and will let them know that you appreciate the hard work they put in to make things easy for you. They bust their butts so that you don't have to.

Got this idea for a shot today that failed bigtime. Had to use high ISO and the face didn't get near as much light as I hoped.
Thied to fix it in photoshop, but one can only do so much with a dark noisy mess.
Well I though I'd share the result anyway. It also happen to be my first selfie ever, so I should probably be glad for all the detail loss :-)
PS. The electric effect is pretty much untouched by photoshop though.
