Nappers Mite in South Street is one of the oldest buildings in Dorchester, being erected as almshouses after the 1613 fire which destroyed much of the town. The building has a centre courtyard and now houses a restaurant.

Red-Naped x Red-Breasted Sapsucker in north Berkeley, CA on Feb. 24, 2015. Field note: the extensive white on the back is characteristic of the Red-Naped Sapsucker, but the other front-showing photo (022415a) shows excessive red on the chest that is characteristic of the hybrid.

I love when the dog is napping. It's just like when the girls were little - "No, no! Don't wake her up! Mommy needs a break." Sorry about all of the dog pictures, but, really, she's everywhere around here too.
