A nice relaxing nap on the grass.

This shot really demonstrates the power of shooting in the RAW format. I snapped this shot on my way out of a water polo tournament and I still had my camera set to shutter priority and a shutter speed of 1/640th ... combine that with a very slow telephoto lens (f/5) and the very dark shade this guy was laying in and you end up with an exposure that looks almost black (straight out of the camera) ... a little adjusment of the exposure slider in Apple Aperture (or ACR) and a "reject" photo is saved and turned into what I think is a really great shot.

inside a ferry-boat we took from Surat Thani to Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand. it was very hot, slow and long - about four hours, the longest i've been on a boat. by the time we arrived Koh Pha Ngan it was already dark, and it took us about half an hour to get to our hotel by texi.

we had a very good sleep that night.

We left his friends and I bribed him with an ince cream shake in order to leave the park. He was so tired he passed out with the straw in his mouth still sucking on it, sleep eating.
