A fountain glued in to the head so the dragon can breathe fire.
Also note the wooden bits where the lower jaw will be hinged.
Next door to Norbury Manor, seat of the Fitzherbert’s, it’s not surprising that they built St Bartoks in 1295, with C14th and C15th additions. It’s also not surprising that it contains Fitzherbert memorials and tombs such as this one, made from Chellaston alabaster., dating from 1493. Sir Ralph's feet are resting on this lion or mythical beast, which in turn has a tiny head above it.
This was one of the best vantage points because you got a nice reflection in the water, but they kept moving us on, saying we were causing a bottleneck. There was nowhere else with that reflection though. Hmph.... grumble grumble ...

Tomorrow, the 9th, with be my 1 year anniversary working at Glade Run. It's been a pretty up and down year, but I've learned HEAPS of stuff. I just pray that my kids are never like the ones work with, but I think I have a pretty good idea on how not to let them get that far.
Sometimes, if I'm really lucky, the kids at work make me pictures. This was one I got just a few weeks onto the job.
The picture on the top was initially spelled wrong, but the kid changed it. That's him, saying how much he hates me.
What I love is the bottom picture. This is me, as a mythical beast in another dimension. At least I'm a skinny beast.
My guess is that each of those "feathers" was made by a different person - some are signed. Schoolkids maybe?
