My great-grandfather, my grandfather, my Dad's bother Ted, and Ted's little girl, Violet.

Wilson Street, Winchmore Hill, North London, October 1928.

profJohn was doing a little genealogy today (8 Feb 2009), looking at new bits of our stories which are emerging through the recently published 1911 census. I hunted this out because I remembered it shows how big Violet was at a date which had been written on the back. John thinks he's found a record of Ted's marriage in 3rd quarter 1925. Seems to add up OK.

My suite mate has been growing a beard all semester. He decided it was time.....to shave it into mutton chops.

2012 Hark the Design

On night two of the cruise (i think) there was a "Captain's Party" where everyone could come and drink for free for 2 hours or so. We met alot of other beardos at that time.

Guess who? at the Mile Long Pier Lorain, Ohio

God Save the Queen! I think Peter "Moff Tarkin" Cushing makes a fine British general. The RAF chap with the muttonchops also started as a Star Wars Imperial officer.

Thanks ♥ shhexycorin ♥ for the good old fashioned heads up.

Nothing too special about this configuration, except it made me feel like a bass player for a minute or two.

Before I went out today, I was doing some facial hair maintenance with my little electric trimmer, when a horrible thing happened.

I coughed. And in doing so, shaved off about half the hair on my right cheek.

I tried some damage control for a bit, but neither the pedo-stache nor muttonchops looked too good on my mug and I soon gave it up for a bad job.

I am now, for the first time in months, clean-shaven.

Back to cultivating that manly hair growth.

The cool thing about this General is that he bought land that he fought on after the battle to preserve it. Known as Crawford Park it was finally given to the Park Service when all the commercial operations around Round Top and Devils Den ceased in the early 1900's.

He can be found forever looking over the Wheatfield from the base of Little Round Top.

My company wanted professional portraits for a work directory. I submitted two, this being one of them.

I'm gonna sip a little single malt, and take a nap. If I feel better I'll disco this eve...

Tim! With HUGE muttonchops.

While at Folklife this past spring I ran across the band Hang Jones. Pretty damn good and I got a sticker.

My friend grew out some awesome friendly mutton chops, then decided to shave them for charity. We wanted to document the tomfoolery. These are a few samples, rough edits; I have, well over, 900 more shots to look over.

This is what we wore on Mardi Gras day (Fat Tuesday).

I really liked that sunset reflection in her glasses.

A little experiment in facescaping I went through last fall.
