this picture sucks, but here's the line-up: 50 year old man on electronic V-Drums, flute-boy on flute, super hot lesbian skater chick on acoustic and vocals, and muttonchops on bass.
So I had to get a New Deal travelcard in a hurry. The Passport Photo machines at the station don't let you make different expressions in each picture any more. Shame.
I stole Scott's picture and cropped it down. I don't know why I like this picture so much. (Frankly, it's a little scary.) That is one happy man... with some very full friendly muttonchops.
The sign didn't come out on this one - and now I don't remember what it was - but i like the guy's mutton-chops ;-)
This is Tom Bettany, a member of The Beards, performing at the World Beard and Moustache Championships. There's a guy from the ZZ Top cover band behind him.

san jose bike party - this one was a moustache ride. Dave and I had the real deal, while those ones made do with falsies. no shame, though - theirs were manlier than mine. Dave also has the sweet muttonchops.

profJohn was doing a little genealogy today (8 Feb 2009), looking at new bits of our stories which are emerging through the recently published 1911 census. I hunted this out because I remembered it shows how big Violet was at a date which had been written on the back. John thinks he's found a record of Ted's marriage in 3rd quarter 1925. Seems to add up OK.
My suite mate has been growing a beard all semester. He decided it was time.....to shave it into mutton chops.
