Mutant, the female ostrich, stands by as the zebra eats hay. In reality, she was probably watching what the male ostrich was doing!

If you haven't heard of Os Mutantes by now, better do yourself a favor and check them out. They are one of the most amazing bands of all time on so many levels and I have respect for them more than any other band around today. This one is for dear Solange (Solamore on flickr) who misses her home. I hope you smile like Sérgio is here when you see this. I hope you feel better soon.

It won't let me add them to the group. :(

In a post-apocalyptic world, semi-intelligent Mutants who use primitive weapons can be more dangerous than zombies. Fortunately, tech-savvy survivors with access to resources can neutralize these threats.

For the record, Mutant, the female ostrich, has plenty of space to run -- several acres, in fact. But, she comes to the fence because she's curious about people.

Don't imagine yourself in there with her -- I still wouldn't trust her!
