I think it's kind of fun to see this aberration. And the little red ones are trying to figure out what's going on with the daisies.

Ostriches are territorial. I don't know how aggressive Mutant, the female, would be, but I wouldn't take any chances!

Unusual 12-petal (instead of 3-petal) Trillium. Green and cream colouration is also not common.

Have you ever seen an allium like this?

I think this is a strange growth of Collybia sp, there where a lot of normal fruiting bodys around it. It is as seldom as hit on a lotto jackpot, to find such a fruiting body. My luck for unlikely things is used up with this. But who needs lotto millions, if you can have a mushroom photo?

Ich halte dies für eine seltsame Wuchsform von einem Sklerotienrübling, aber ausdrücklich nicht für einen Traubenstieligen Sklerotienrübling, bei dem Nebenfruchtformen am Stiel wachsen, denn er war von normalen Fruchtkörpern umgeben und die Schirmchen sind alle Hauptfruchtformen. Das ist wahrscheinlich so selten wie ein Sechser im Lotto. Mein Glück ist damit aufgebraucht, ich brauche nicht mehr Lotto spielen. Aber wer braucht schon Millionen, wenn er ein Pilzfoto haben kann?

Mutant Erythranthe lewisii, from Warren Creek just east of Yosemite. The wild-type, at least in the Yosemite area, has much paler pink and white in the throat. It's deeper red further north. Formerly known as Mimulus lewisii.

Little scene that also serves as a teaser for an upcoming build

First time out with my camera for a couple of months. Using the lighter rig and my new Black Rapid strap to try to spread the load. Not sure it'll see the light of day again.

Everyone's favorite mutant murderer.

A huge update from my previous fig, as soon as I saw the Kraven Collar I know where it had to go to.

Harry Potter werewolf head, Kraven collar, CMF Minotaur torso, CMF Barbarian arms/legs.

Also featuring his buddies Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, Deadpool, and Wolverine.
