Our Kiddos really enjoyed milk and chocolate chip cookies in celebration of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day ☺️
Well, I had surgery on my back yesterday and was fast asleep by 10pm CST last night. My wife was hard to get to sleep for whatever reason and didn't make it into bed until around 4am this morning. Around 5am, we got slammed by a line of severe thunderstorms that moved through the area slowly. They seemed to have taken forever to move through! Then, this afternoon, another round of thunderstorms bore down on us like a train that just won't stop. Oh well, such is the life in the southern US in the Summer eh? I managed to drag my sorry butt out of bed long enough to capture this view off our front porch of the approaching thunderstorm.
this moth is sitting on the trunk of the Sentra. The green reflection is the John Deere riding mower.
The Stones River is barely a stream right now. The soil in the forefront of the picture is where the river normally is.
Looking toward my neighborhood. You can see I-24 in the top portion of the shot where traffic was stopped after the storm due to flipped vehicles. This poor house was a gorgeous house but is nothing now. Notice how it literally exploded and then was carried away in the direction of the storm. My house is also visible in this shot.
More shots from my neighborhood. This is called the Blackman Community to us locals. About a block from my house.
Middle Tennessee is always one of those 15th or 16th seeds in the NCAA Basketball Tournament...I never knew where the school was until today.

The windows - different shapes and sizes- draw attention to this 1896 house built for Murfreesboro jeweler William R. Bell. The elegant oval staIned glass window beneath the neoclassical porch is overshadowed by the projecting palladan window on the first floor, above which are paired arched windows with keystones.
On the roof, an elaborate round window, finials, cresting, and towering chineys add to the picturesque quality of the house.
