Well, there it is. Downtown Murfreesboro from about 2,000 feet. This is the view looking down "Shelbyville Road" toward Interstate 24. You can see the city's tallest building, the 15 story City Center.

  

Murfreesboro is home to 98,406 people and is the geographical center of Tennessee. The city encompases 39 sq. miles total. It is a part of the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area which is home to 1,533,506 people.

This river was said to have turned red with blood during a confederate onslaught from the east side while the union canon on the high ground devasted them.

Notice how the first floor of the right building has been removed to form a drive through for the cleaners. This is right on the Public Square.

Made to thank the tornadoes for not hitting my house while they were in town.

A view of the tornado's path as it cut across the northern part of Murfreesboro. You can see a small dogleg to the left in the far distance. This neighborhood was basically wiped out. Three people died in the tornado and numbers injured.
