It looks strange but the extra handle gives a little more leverage and is not flimsy.

Vintage Nintendo Multi-tool, it's missing it's tape measure sadly.

Cylindrical multitool.

Leatherman Squirt S4 I sorta won on a giveaway on Multitool.org . I actually won a Maxpedition M5 pouch and the Squirt and Spyderco Honey Bee were generously included.

Leatheman Blast. Good condition.

Victorinox Camper und faltbares Gemüsemesser..

I received a second, left hand mount, feed bag for my birthday. This setup will work better for me than the feed bag & top tube mounted gas tank since my knees hit the gas tank while riding.

These bags are awesome, great pockets, access to everything while still pedaling. If needed, they hold a water bottle perfectly as well as food/cameras/tubes/multitools.

I like multitools, but...

A great smaller tool will tackle many minor chores.

Folded Skeletool, note the carbon fibre trim, and the belt clip that doubles as a bottle opener!

Now you are ready.

Leatherman New Wave

Have you ever wondered why prehistoric dwellings with an open fireplace in front of them were so cozy? Well, let me tell you. It's not because they had fluffy pillows or scented candles. It's because they had a natural heating system that kept them warm and toasty. You see, the open fireplace would create a draft that would suck the cold air from the back of the dwelling and push the hot air to the front. This way, the inhabitants could enjoy the warmth of the fire without getting smoked out. The fireplace also served as a source of light, entertainment, and cooking. Who needs Netflix when you have a crackling fire to watch? Who needs a microwave when you have a spit to roast your meat? Who needs a lamp when you have a torch to illuminate your cave paintings? The open fireplace was the ultimate multitool for prehistoric people. It made their dwellings cozy, comfortable, and convenient. No wonder they were so happy!

This good-sized (17 mm) rove beetle (fam. Staphylinidae) is one of many that have tried to bite me. This one actually hurt and I think you can see why, I had another large rove beetle (Platydracus) in the white bucket along with this one for the photo shoot and their difference in behavior was striking. The Platydracus immediately began running around looking for an escape route, then shot its wings out and tried to fly out of the bucket. This beetle, on being emptied out into the bucket, took at least a minute to survey its surroundings, When it had finished it walked slowly around exploring things. If I touched it or moved my multitool near it for a measurement shot, it would open its mandibles threateningly but wouldn't run. Cosanga, Napo, Ecuador.

This was my first new pocketknife that my parent's bought me when I was 7 or 8. I used to take it on all my adventures.

Somewhere along the line it got superglue on one scale, which warped and popped off. I found it a few years ago, and then a couple of weeks ago, I was reading the SAK forums on Multitool.org and found a place to get replacement parts...so I decided to do a bit of restoration.

Multitools have X amount of uses. As many as your imagination will allow.

Plus they open quite nicely into an X shape.
