New life to an old image.

Another multiple exposure. I was influenced by the work of Hodaka Yamamoto, who was the first person I had seen to then reflect these exposures to symmetry.

Friday evening I travelled to Lynn Loop trail in North Vancouver. I stopped to watch the rushing water flowing down Lynn Creek - alone with my thoughts.

Spending time in nature always makes me happy and has a positive benefit on my health.

Each hole is so small that it doesn't seem worth throwing the sock away for. Not sure how much longer it makes sense to keep doing this for though!

Multiple spiraling stripes in purple and pink on a beaded bead accented with tiny pearly white beads dangle from delicate long kidney earwires.

Starting with a flattened oval wooden bead and delica beads, I wove a spiral pattern around the core bead using peyote stitch. Peyote stitch is an off loom bead weaving stitch where each tiny bead is woven in by hand using multiple passes of thread. The tops and bottoms of the beaded beads are finished with tiny pearly white rocaille beads.

I added silver plated bead caps and silver plated wire and hung the lightweight beaded beads from long silver plated kidney earwires for a clean, contemporary look.

• Dimensions: The overall length from the very top of the ear wire to the bottom of the beaded bead is 2.75 inches (7 cm), and the beaded bead is .75 inches (1.9 cm) at the widest point.

I intentionally cropped and redacted this sign, posted in a clinic exam room, to protect both the innocent and the guilty.

Most of this sign is composed of the most overused inappropriate font ever, which needs no credit. Controversial typefaces Bradley Hand and Papyrus make jarring guest appearances. There's underlined text for fun, plus a smiley just asking for misinterpretation. And, adding to the typographical cacophony, a set of unnecessary quotation marks pays a visit. Maybe it's a good thing no errant apostrophes crashed this party.

As of December 2011, this sign has been replaced with a much simpler sign created entirely in the Lithos font.

Bibury is considered by many to be one of the very prettiest villages in England - each time I have driven there it is rammed with tourists which proves the point that it has many charms - but I bet it looks lovely there just now totally bereft of any visitors! Of course they wouldn't have something like a petrol station there now - in fact I had wondered if there had ever been one at all but clearly there was in the 1930s. The two nearer pumps are selling Pratts and National Benzole - not sure of the far one but possibly Shell or Cleveland. It's a lovely rural scene of days long gone and one I was very pleased to add to my collection. You can see the same view today below as well as on Streetview - the White Swan is of course still there :o) www.google.com/maps/@51.7604511,-1.8349129,3a,75y,356.71h...

That's one thing that doesn't transfer over directly from WordPress.

I absolutely love this painting my parents have.

It's not a proper Japanese festival without a stall selling brightly-coloured children's masks.

Great Western Railways use just one Class 165 two car diesel multiple unit to operate the Greenford Branch Line that is just over two miles long. At Greenford Station the terminus platform is between the east and west bound platforms of the Central Line. The branch line runs down to West Ealing Station which has good TfL and mainline connections. About 3 intermediate stations. Trails of a battery-electric powered Class 230 are due to take place on the line in 2022.

This photograph shows 165 132 arriving at Greenford Station.

Multiple exposure exercise. Tried multiple exposure but without much success. I guess I need a lot more power to get the light that's needed.
