Shortly after this photo was taken, these bikes roared past me and disappeared down the road at well over 100 MPH. Minutes after that, I got a speeding ticket for 67 in a 45. In the middle of nowhere. On my honeymoon. The Ranger/Trooper did not make a new friend that day.
Thought this rose was such a beautiful colour, but cant remember where it was taken......probably in Norfolk

The blocks of flats next to the Gateshead Highway were demolished last summer. For a few weeks when the grey cladding had gone but the concrete remained, they were a window onto the individual and multi-coloured lives that once lived inside, and the light that shone through them took on kaleidoscope hues, like a stained glass window.
Also, who was the rad dude with the blue ceiling?

YES! I am wearing the same thing as yesterday. And here is why: We drove to Pomona for James' American ceremony last night. As we arrived near midnight at the hotel (45 miles away) I realized I left the dress at home. So I had to wear the same clothes 2 days in a row. ick. Glad it wasn't a groddy t-shirt.

Corgi 377 Marcos 3 litre with Whizzwheels.
This is a revised version of 324 which had a Volvo 1800 engine, and had opening doors. On this revised version there is a suggested fabric sunroof, and the Marcos logo on the bonnet is a sticker, whereas on the earlier version it was cast. The engine detail is also changed – on this it is a separate cast component instead of being part of the main casting.
De férias em SP, e prestes a retornar para Maceió, senti a necessidade de uma sacola para transportar guloseimas na longa viagem de ônibus entre Lins e São Paulo. Eis a solução!!!

pan has been found! he was lurking in a little used bathroom, and now he is sharing my infirmary with me. here you can see him just after my mother brought him in to sit on my lap. he was happy sitting on my lap until we offered him some dinner, now he is hiding under the sofa, next to my recliner the poor baby is really not hungry and doesn't like being touched, though he does like being near his people. and at least we know where he is, and we can take him to the cat dermatologist on wednesday. the main worry right now is lupus - there are two kinds in cats, one that is treatable and one that isn't. but we'll get to that later. right now i am just so very happy that pan is safe and that we can take care of him and give him whatever he needs. roberta suggested i get in touch with the chinese herbalist who treats cats, but i think we'll try the cat dermatologist first. if he has the untreatable kind of lupus chinese herbs might be worth a shot.
in non pan news, i'm doing ok. i'm trying to dial back the dilaudad a bit, seeing if i can take it every five hours insteaad of every four. now that i'm on the celebrex as well i think i don't need as much dilaudid -plus this morning i noticed i had a hard time staying awake. it's hard waiting that extra hour to take my next painkiller, i'm in that extra hour right now and it hurts, but i think it's for the best not to take too much, that stuff is really powerful. i've been distracting myself from the pain with massive amounts of cable telly. right now i'm watching an interesting show about animal hoarders, a serious problem we are always coming up against at the shelter. and after that i am planning on a binge of hbo on demand, true blood here i come!
