"What was he thinking about?" you ask. Tools. Power tools. No, this wasn't one of those meditative Hallmark moments, sts. He was actually pricing tools on my laptop while gracefully excepting his shift on kid duty.
What can I say, the man knows how to multi-task.
Still using family-trip-digital-point-and-shoot, unfortunately. Almost there, Nikon, almost there. Just five more months of tight budgeting.
An example of the diversity of the area: the sign is in five languages: Armenian, Russian, Spanish, Perso-Arabic, and English.

Detail of the multi-layered map. Between the gaps in the top maps a further map can be seen underneath. The Dutch Harbour label has also been repaired.
I spotted this photo of a bike and then had to wait for the sequence to go all the way round to take a photo of it.
(Do you think it should it be "lady's loop frame" or "ladies' loop frame"?)
Des de Moor is a beer writer and a member of South East London CAMRA. He’s quite a multi-talented chap, not to mention multi-lingual, with a music and theatre background he’s also a writer for all things he’s interested in, such as rambling. In addition to beer writing he’s also a judge for the World Beer Awards. These awards have heats in the USA, Japan and the finals are in Norwich. He’s a great traveller and this year he’s been a judge at the Great American Beer Festival and the Bock Beer Fest in Belgium. One of his pieces he’s currently writing is about beer walks in Southern Bavaria. All that said he still likes a drink in New Cross (SE14), and favours the New Cross House and the Royal Albert.
He describes his recent collaboration with with Brians Brewery as being a beer that’s while not going to conquer the world is interesting while easy drinking and is also an everyday beer.

The multi storey car park at the Cambridge cattle market which these days is known as Cambridge Leisure. I'm not sure about this image, but I liked the rhythm of lines and planes at the time, plus the solidity of the gloom and the contrast between the old slate roofed railway buildings with the modernist car park beyond.
***UPDATE*** 7/30/12 Had a multi person waiting list on this superstar. Jen had her fingers crossed, and pounded on this one quickly. It is going to be the piece de resistance in a Danish modern office in the West Loop. You can call me into a meeting anytime with this bad boy. 7/30/12

Day 85, Port 27, Country 16; Bangkok, Thailand: CMV World Cruise
Bangkok is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. The city of Bangkok has a population of over eight million, and over fourteen million people within the surrounding Bangkok Metropolitan Region. After touring the Grand Temple we were dropped off at a big hotel for a long dinner break, I chose to eat out and explore the city. This intersection of overhead motorway and high level rail system. As can be seen although there were plenty of cars, there were many more motorcycles.
