Gagarin is proud to announce the opening of a new interactive exhibition on renewable energy for Landsvirkjun Power Company at the hydro power station Búrfellsvirkjun. Gagarin produced the exhibition, created the concept and managed the development and implementation.
The purpose of this exhibition is to give visitors insight into how the power plants in Iceland operate, about future energy sources, Iceland’s geology and the energy usage of household appliances.
Gagarin’s ambition for this exhibition was to actively engage the visitors with innovative interactive installation. For example the visitors can operate a hydro power station, learn about the power plants in Iceland in an interactive table and use actual plug-ins to show the energy usage of household appliances.
The exhibition opened on June 11 and welcomes visitors every day throughout the summer.

There is no bigger market than China. When Richard Lee -former vice president of Pepsi China, whom we spoke with a few months ago in New York- was given the task of increasing the famous cola drink’s presence in the world’s most populous nation, he knew he needed to go big. For Lee, who is now Pepsi International’s vice president of colas, this involved mapping out a 10-year branding strategy which has seen the company’s market share more than double in China. Whereas the evolution of Pepsi’s China strategy involved numerous campaigns and initiatives, Pepsi’s core values remain the same. One of them is Brand Evangelism. Little expense is spared to get the hottest celebrities drink Pepsi. The company explicitly exploits star advocacy to boost the consumer bond with the Pepsi brand. For one TV advertisement alone, the company flew its high profile brand ambassadors into the fabled former desert kingdom of Petra in Jordan to film one of the most talked-about commercials ever made in China. In this way the Pepsi message is delivered with the maximum memorability and engagement.
Besides implementing Brand Evangelism, Entertainment Value is an important thing for Pepsi. Every new Pepsi campaign, platform and initiative must be as entertaining and newsworthy as possible. Example of this was in the lead-up to the Chinese New Year, when cans were adorned with ‘wishing you 100 moments of happiness’. Result of all this is that Pepsi touches the lives of consumers from 360 degrees, 365 days of the year.

ClayAR Lite (Demo) provides an intuitive interface that enables the casual user to easily sculpt and manipulate a simple piece of virtual clay, on the go, using a pocket-sized FrameMarker 5 (that can be reprinted on any printer)!
Note: The Demo version does not require a login, but all users will be accessing the same SQL file directory. On Load, you may see files from other semi-public beta users!
Edit Mode: Change the brush size by squeezing your thumb and forefingers closer or further away on the screen (“zoom in/out”). Change the pull strength by dragging the slider. Touch to sculpt!
Touch the Info Button (lower right hand corner, next to slider and – the telltale sign of my penuriousness – “trial version” watermark) at any time to toggle a quick Help Overlay.
Touch the Disk button to Save. (A URL containing the .obj pops up. Touch hold and cut the text then load it up in your browser to download the Wavefront obj file for usage in other 3d modeling programs or games!)
Touch a particular Snap Button to Save or Load an intermediate state (this session only).
Touch the Grid/Gradient button to toggle between two materials.
Touch the Edit/View (Camera Move/Camera Pen) buttons to toggle between View and Edit modes. (You begin in Edit mode.)
View Mode: Scale the clay by squeezing your thumb and forefingers closer or further away on the screen (“zoom in/out”). Rotate the clay by touch-dragging it.
Menu: New to summon a new clay ball. Load to load the 8 most recent save’s.
All data is saved “in the cloud” on clayar servers. Depending on network traffic, there may be some delay between Save and Load features. Editing and Viewing a file are local operations, which will depend on your mobile device’s capabilities. If you encounter extremely jagged vertices, try saving onto a few other Snap Buttons and loading from those.

What you are looking at right now, is one of my favorite pieces of technology, that I have. This MacBook Pro had changed the way I take computing in many forms, and how the simplicity of it, can even par up to Windows, and myself I was a major WINDOWS fanboy, but I've changed. I take both brands to their advantages and their cons, I use both of them on a daily basis. I prefer a OS X for laptops, and Windows for a desktop, weird huh? The only thing I really switched to Mac for laptops is for... reliability (I had 5 laptops, before I came to a decision before buying a Mac, all of them broke in 1 year), sleek design, and the main thing is the multi-touch gestures; the gestures are just simply something now I can't live without, I can just do everything that I need just with gestures, from changing a song, to creating a new folder. Windows has its pros too, everyone knows how to use windows, multi-program compatibly, and the best thing is simply easier to diagnose problems (well my laptops break due to internals, cheap parts, and cheap brands). Well that's my rant on windows or osx, and see ya tomorrow for the next pic. And remember, its Friday tomorrow; let's make it good!

Gagarin’s ambition for this exhibition was to actively engage the visitors with innovative interactive installation. For example the visitors can operate a hydro power station, learn about the power plants in Iceland in an interactive table and use actual plug-ins to show the energy usage of household appliances.
The exhibition opened on June 11 and welcomes visitors every day throughout the summer.

Part six of my iPod collecting adventure arrived this week in the form of the iPod Nano 6th Generation 8GB which I was lucky enough to receive as an early birthday present this week. It was purchased from the new Covent Garden Apple Store which was an incredible retail environment that has been lovingly restored and provided a great place to show off all of the new Apple designs.
Once I was dragged away from the 11.6" MacBook Air (kicking and screaming) I eventually decided on the 8GB Nano, for me to try to use as a watch, but mainly to be used when running. The hardware is amazingly small, so small that it really takes you by surprise when you see it in the flesh for the first time. The multi-touch display, although small, is amazingly responsive and the whole experience is brilliant.
I will be writing a full review for my personal blog at jonhume.co.uk but for now enjoy the unboxing photos.

My Gallery 対話型 (Interactive) is a fully functional interface that allows users to experience the museum curatorial process first-hand by creating their own galleries. The single-SIM functionality-enabled Micromax Canvas Laptab LT777 boots Windows 10 and features an 11.6 inch multi-touch IPS display with 1366×768 pixels of resolution. The laptop-table hybrid comes with an 8.8mm detachable magnetic keyboard dock which features a touchpad and a full-size USB port.
Powering the Micromax Canvas Laptab LT777 is a 64-bit architecture-based Intel’s fourth-generation Atom Z3735F SoC which packs a quad-core processor (four threads, 2MB cache, 1.33GHz base clock speed and 1.83GHz burst clock speed) coupled with Intel HD Graphics Processing Unit and 2GB of DDR3L RAM. The laptop-tablet hybrid is said to be available in Black color option.
The Micromax Canvas Laptab LT777 features a duo of 2 megapixels shooters placed on its rear and front. It comes with 32GB of EEMC internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB via MicroSD. Connectivity options on the device include USB, Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi. Further, the laptop-tablet hybrid is backed by a 9000 mAh battery, which is officially said to deliver 8-10 hours of usage on a single charge.
