Farm & homestead that inspired L.M. Montgomery for the setting of Anne of Green Gables. The farm was owned & run by cousins of her grand-parents. She visited Green Gables often. The house has been restored and set up as it was described in the books.

This is looking North under the porch. The porch is insulated with two layers of R20 fibreglass batts with poly on top under the 3/4" plywood flooring. There is 1/4" plywood on the bottom to keep the fibreglass from falling out and the rodents and insects from coming in.

The slate mudroom has a generous coat closet and high-efficiency laundry system, easily accessible to everyone in the home.
