View from kitchen into mudroom. Closet doors removed... next must paint!

Familiar was following me around that day. The downstairs bathroom/laundry room is behind Familiar. The TV room is to the left and you can see the gray fridge to the right in the kitchen.

These seedlings were overwintered in unheated mudroom window, in the planter in which they were sowed last summer. New growth started in March.

First task is to gently remove the dead leaves from previous season. Then you can move outdoors when other perennials show spring growth. You will have to monitor moisture; when in a planter, do not overwater; make sure the planter or pot is well-drained.

This paint was under the carpeting. We liked the rustic look it created and thought it appropriate for a mudroom. It was the inspiration for the linoleum, which looks nice with the paint and the refinished fir stairs.

This room was baby blue, like the dining room, the entire basement and Dav'e smoking room. Dave bought a color similar to the brick color in the kitchen and altered it....Thanks Cara for the direction toward non beige colors!

Mudroom. Usually much more crowded than this!

In the process of having the mudroom repaired after storm damage in August. The ceiling and insulation was taken out, floors will be removed, and closet shelves redone due to water damage (roof leaf).

And that's our behemoth PAX unit on the right there.
