This was on a dirt road driveway off Huasna Valley Rd. It was mesmerizing to stand and look at the reflection and then watch the scene change as you moved to a new POV
just go together like pie and ice cream!!! Beco at the Columbus Zoo. He was having a ball, but just like a Momma, she made him get out of it!!
I took Diaz to the Boone County dog park for a change and there were soo many dogs there today. Diaz is all worn out. There were two German-bred and imported 16 week old GSD puppies (one longhaired!) that were training to be cadaver dogs, 3 whippets, some coonhound mixes, Lab mixes, and more. So much fun despite the cold.
I also apparently picked the muddiest field for Diaz to play in. She found a mudpuddle and splashed in it. Stuck her face in a mudhole. Had to let her swim in the lake to "clean" off, haha, almost all her white areas were brown by the end of our trip. She also got lots of compliments on her eyes.
This poor Boxer mix was chasing Diaz and accidentally bowled her right over! I was lucky to get this one capture with my friend's Nikon D40... couldn't stop laughing, especially because the poor dog looks SO concerned, like he/she knew they just made a mistake and feel really bad about it. Diaz...well, she was none the worse for wear but she certainly looks like the wind got knocked out of her!

I dislike that brown was chosen as the building's color because there is already too much brown in Lansing. I think the bricks ought to be painted pale green or pale blue or lavender, something like that.

My cousin Brent and I playing in mudpuddles. I'm probably standing in that hole. Probably from the early 80's.
My son's books have been a big source of inspiration for this feltscape as you can see! Piggies and mud puddles are always popular with him :) I did a lot more sewing than needle felting on this piece and I really made a point to use bright colors.
As usual I let some elements be in 3D to have a livelier effect.
The shadow box frame stands on its own which I like because you can simply put it on a shelf :)
Suddenly the mud begins to bubble and boil. It becomes a geyser!

This building was designed to make people feel frightened of the future!
I do not dislike its architecture but I wish it were public housing instead of a hotel.
