This little guy was just too funny. He ran up to this puddle, looked at it, then ran back towards his family. Repeated this process again. On the third time instead of running back to his family, he tapped one of his feet in the puddle as if testing it out. Then he took a few steps backward and I new EXACTLY what he was thinking - you could see it written all over the giant grin that slowly enveloped his face. I got ready for it, he ran forward, jumped with all his little might, and SPLASH!! It was followed promptly by a fabulous set of giggles.

The (30 feet* of) snow (that fell this winter) is melting!! I'm very glad I have my plaid galoshes to splash around in. This picture reminds me of a song I learned at my first job in Norway - working at an activity center. We sang a LOT. One of the songs was Alf Prøysen's The first dandelion which talks about the first dandelion of the year looking at his reflection in a mudpuddle. It's a very cute song. And we're a long way away from the year's first dandelion, but... I'll pretend to be one until that day comes!

* This is a bit of an exaggeration.

I've used this Pen EE before but could never remember what settings worked best on it. So I took it on a bike ride this morning to figure it out. The automatic ISO setting gets the best exposures.

Fred in the arena after a rain storm.

He really does love the mud, probably because he's grey. Grey horses secretly know how tired our arms get brushing all the gunk off them, so they really grind it in there.

It's true, and you know it.
