Spent a nice, cool morning on Mt. Lemmon. Marshall Gulch area was quite lively with American Redstarts and Red-faced Warblers. The Redstarts were most cooperative. The RFWA not so much---flitting about with obstructing branches and/or shady spots. Just allowed me one, not-great shot, but I enjoyed it all the same.

We also spotted several of these horned toads on our trip. The girls thought they'd make great pets, but we talked them into leaving the toads where we found them, to keep their little "toad families" intact.

Sage the dog is watching over me while I am climbing the Mt Lemmon elevation of 6,000 feet above sea level.

Took a trip to Mt Lemmon with my boys hoping to snowboard. We weren't early enough on this first big snowfall day, but made it this past weekend. More photos of that soon after I edit.

Or maybe not, I'm thinking that those antenna don't look right. Long-horned bee, perhaps?

On July 29 2015 I joined Ned and the gang on one of the summer Mount Lemmon hikes. We hiked the loop formed by the Mt. Lemmon Trail and the Meadow Trail (formerly the Power Line Road and the Lemmon Park Trail) at the top of the mountain.

We found 3 Red-faced warblers near the top of Mt Lemmon in Tucson AZ. We had only seen one previously for a split second. This time we got good looks but not so good photos. This warbler is found in the mountains above 6,000 feet in AZ and NM. It is a very striking bird and has a pretty song.

Lake havasu, AZ houses one of the previous London Bridges from England. Taken down piece by piece and numbered catagorized shipped, and reassembled. 6x8 oil on canvas board.
