One of the luxuriously appointed Volvo Olympians used on the Cross River group of services, Thankfully, one of these fine vehicles has been rescued for preservation on Merseyside.
Doing a spot of overtime at Gillmoss, I did a late on the 135 road and this was my chariot. Seen at Aintree Station is Marshall bodied Dennis Dart 7607 T607JBA. This bus passed to GTL on the selling of Gillmoss by Arriva and subsequently became a Stagecoach vehicle.
Towering over downtown Montreal is the Leonard Cohen Mural on Crescent Street, seen here from the Chalet on Mount Royal 1.1 km away.
Merseybus 5299 (LFR 872X) was the only short Leyland National 2 which I ever found operating for Merseybus. This bus was new to Ribble and later served with Cmberland before being sold to Merseybus in March 1995. It joined the Liverbus operation six months later. Here it is seen alongside Lime Street on March 17th 1998.

Titan time! MTL added somewhere in the region of 150 former London Titans in the mid 1990s, mainly to eradicate the Atlantean from the fleet (some of which had passed their 20 birthday). The branding on this Titan used to read 20/21, but was modified after services were rationalised with their Fareway subsidiary.
Southport & District extra-smart Atlantean! There were only a few AN68s left at Canning Road by the time this was taken in the mid1990s. Other, later Atlanteans remained in Liverpool into the Arriva era (and were renumbered into a 3xxx series).

End of the line for the M42 L series Praktica. It seems that over 4 million were produced and although they all look the same, over the 20 year life of the series some important changes occured. The MTL 50 features the new viewfinder that is light years from the old one, being bright, not coarse, very close to the one used on the B series Prakticas. Goodbye to the old match needle arrangement, in comes 2 LED' in form of an arrow, simple and effective.
The rest is the usual basic L line, no fancy Electric lens system, closed down metering, clunky shutter and film advance and more play in the controls. Still, this is no Zenit 12 XP, it is a full featured classic SLR, outdated when it was new, but not primitve as the Russian rival.

Liverbus of Huyton also ran as London Suburban Bus from a garage in Edmonton. T210 was a former LSB vehicle which was transferred to Liverpool after the MTL takeover and of course fitted in beautifully with the MTL fleet at that time. It's seen at Elizabeth Road terminus shortly after entering service. What can't be seen is that this photo was taken from the cab of a Liverbus Atlantean...
Another of the renumbered Nationals, this time seen in St Helens Bus Station mid-rebuild. This bus is currently undergoing restoration into its original guise as MPTE 1000.
My Praktica MTL 50, a fully manual 35mm film camera. I don't use it all that much but it is fun to put the occasional roll of film through it as it is such a change from digital, forcing you to slow down and really think about each frame you shoot.
