De fraai gerestaureerde mP 3029 van de stichting CREW 2454 reed op de (voor mij) vroege morgen op 13 juni 2021 van Blerick naar Kijfhoek. Gelukkig was ik op tijd fris genoeg om na passage van de bekende webcam op tijd in Dordrecht te zijn waar we de fraaie motorwagen in de oude PTT Post-kleuren aan de nog half slapende fotograaf zien passeren..

Leica MP with Ilford XP2 film most probably, or Fuji CN400 as possible alternative, negative was scanned long time ago and it takes time to identify film strip and read the film type. The lens was either Summicron 35mm ASPH or Summilux 50mm ASPH - where is Exif when you need it ;-)

CN 527 is rounding a superelevated curve at MP 7 of CN's Montreal Sub after setting off cars on the Freight Track near Turcot Ouest.
De mP-Jules werd op 13 oktober overgebracht naar Zeeuws Vlaanderen voor een meetronde in Zeeuws Vlaanderen.
De mP-Jules is door de 7831 opgehaald in Roosendaal om naar Sas van Gent te brengen.
In Mariaburg moest de trein even wachten op een tegen trein, dus een mooie gelegenheid om de trein rustig te fotograferen.

A southbound CSX autrorack train passes the unique signal configuration at the south end of Bradner, OH on the Pemberville Sub. At one time, a center siding occupied this stretch of track. It was removed during the time of the Chessie System. The signals met their end in 2018.

After a brief station stop in Trinidad, Amtrak's Southwest Chief splits a set of searchlights near Starkville, CO on its way toward Raton Pass.
This low level manager was riding in the back seat of this Missouri Pacific train on the Baird Sub as the lead unit was occupied by a RFE in addition to the head end crew. The Road Foreman was on board as there was a business car behind the caboose drawbar on this summer day. MP442.6 on the signal mast would put us just west of the Santa Fe connection at Tecific, a few miles east of Sweetwater, TX. At this time this was an interdivisional crew district of 263 miles so on alternate days out of both terminals either the Fort Worth crew or the Big Spring crew would get the start and run thru the former division point of Baird, TX. And this was always a long run as most if not the entire Baird Subdivision was 40mph with the stick rail still in place. On the other hand, traffic was light as there was only 2 daily pair of trains east of Big Spring in addition to the daily with the Santa Fe east of Tecific.The only other traffic was a pair of tri-weekly locals, from Abilene east and west.

De mP 3029 van de 2454 Crew maakte onlangs een grote conditie rit door het land. Ik heb de mP 3029 ooit nog een keer gefotografeerd toen die regulier voor de PTT reed in het postvervoer.
De mP 3029 als sternet trein van Arnhem Goederen naar Utrecht Goederen bij Arnhem op 11-5-1995.

One of the shots I got of this train on a chase last month. Yes, there is an EMD tucked in at the back of the consist. Missabe Sub MP 14.
Eén van de leukste treintjes in Nederland vind ik nog steeds de Jules van Eurailscout. De vintage vormgeving van dit meettreintje is gewoon prachtig. Toen ik in de gaten had dat dit treinstel vanmorgen op komst was heb ik hem proberen te vereeuwigen met het unieke stationsgebouw en stationsgebied van Putten. Het geluk was aan mijn zijde met een prachtig winterzonnetje, en nog wat bevroren daken, zittingen en autoruiten.
Ik zag recent een foto van 2454 crew die de mP 3029 weer in de jaren negentig stijl hebben terug gebracht.
Na aanleiding pak ik in stijl van deze afgelopen week een foto uit het archief.
De mP 3026+3020 staan als zaterdagse posttrein klaar
om naar Utrecht GE te gaan in Arnhem op 9-2-1991.
Op zaterdag reden de posttreinen zonder H posten.

Loaded CSX coke from Clairton PA for Mittal screams down the NS and quickly rolls off the last few miles before the Plant. Today the power is gone, and a third main has been installed or being installed here.
I really like this one with the legs and head. I also added the Series 11 Constable batton. Btw I got GTAV and omg so good.
