Back on September 12, 1993, MARC ran a non-revenue passenger special from MARC's Riverside shops to Bayview Yard in Baltimore for interchange to Conrail.
Train P925 was led by MDOT F9 Cab Car 7100 with GP40 31 doing the work. The train consisted of some former Metro-North and SEMTA coaches being sent somewhere else.
For some reason lost to time, I cannot comprehend why I didn't chase this rare move. Or why I shot this angle instead of the much more pleasing shot passing the B&O signal mast at Bayview.
The 7100 is now entombed in the B&O Museum in Baltimore.
A few weeks ago I moved into my new place , and I already observed that I have many different bird spieces in my garden. Today, after many weeks, I finally picked up my camera again and went into my garden.

These GE's were used in to assist the run around moves that were needed in order to point trains in the correct direction. After these moves, the line would be ripped up and nature would soon take over whatever was left.

After seeing Colins amazing collection, i decided to dip my toe in the water and get a 6" figure. You may be seeing more of this fella.
I highly recommended a visit to the Falkland Arms if you are a fan of lovely old pub interiors that don't seem to have changed since the 18th century. The bar area, the stone roofed part, is basically one small room of low dark ceilings, a flagstone floor, wooden settles and ancient mullioned windows with a huge open fireplace. The dining area rambles through the adjacent cottages and the toilets used to be a visit outside and back through the gap in the hedge to the cottage with the light above the door, but they have now been made accessible through the pub itself.
It's a little while since I've been in and I hope the open fire has remained the same with just a basket on the hearth for burning logs.
The Chelsea Set/designer clothes brigade have moved in en masse to the exclusive Soho Farmhouse spa hotel which is just a few fields away, and although they don't tend to trouble the pub too much, that fire can leave you smelling a bit kippered so I should image not too popular with those wearing designer labels.
here, an eastbound BNSF intermodal train rolls though christie, CA on the BNSF stockton subdivision. of the seven locomotives in the consist, i would wager only three were online, as BNSF has a habit of running power moves in combination with intermodal trains.

In 1959 Chevrolet again came up with a totally new car. From the front or rear the 1959 Chevrolets resembled nothing else on the road. From the headlights, placed as low as the law would permit, to the cat's-eye tail lights, the 1959 Chevrolet was a brand new car with all new sheet metal, a new frame, and even new series names. The most visual new change was the flat, wing shaped tailfins. The car was built on a 119 in (3,000 mm) wheelbase and was 211 in (5,400 mm) long-which was 11 in (280 mm) longer than the 1957 model. This made Chevrolet the longest car in the low-priced range, whereas two years before it had been the shortest. In addition, the car was 3 in (76 mm) wider outside and had 5 in (130 mm) more width inside than it did in 1958, through the reduction of door thickness. The "X" frame from 1958 was continued, but enlarged and strengthened to support the new body.
Little change was made for 1960. The new models were refinements of the 1959 style with a much more restrained front end, the return of the double cone tail lights of 1958 rather than the startling "cat's eyes" of 1959. Under the hood, things remained constant. Fuel injection was no longer available, but with the 348 cubic inch engine, a horsepower rating of 335 at 5800 rpm was now achieved. This involved the use of three double-barrel carburettors, a special cam and an 11.25:1 compression ratio, all sold as a package. Body style offerings followed 1959, with hardtops and sedans available. The convertible was reserved for the Impala series. The Bel Air Sport Sedan continued to use a rear window overhang and a huge wraparound rear window. Bel Airs (and Biscaynes) had two tail lights per side; the Impalas had three tail lights per side—a situation that would persist for most years through 1975. Many of the same options and accessories that were available on the Impala were also available on the Bel Air. The Bel Airs had more interior and exterior brightwork than the Biscayne.

i think the driver was enjoying himself !
I moved my trail cam to include the Spanish Peaks and my little windmill. I propped the camera against a small dead stump I dragged out of the woods. these Deer are so cautious, it took the buck 20 mins to get the courage to tiptoe around the camera because it wasn't there 2 days ago. This view is better but only for the morning light. I wish we had some nice clouds over the mountain which we always do, but not tis morning....
I'm thinking of setting up a real blind this Winter so I can use my good Canon gear. This trail cam is pretty bad for detail and resolution, although the Deer and other animals would probably never come in with a larger blind in the meadow, even if it was camouflaged well.
One sunset out at Robot Heart I was riding by and decided to join the partay for a while. I told this guy I thought he was pretty cool. Then he told me he thought I was pretty cool. I was like nah man, I’m not that cool. Then he said, nah man, you are. Then I was like, cool, okay, I’ll take it, thanks. Then I showed him some dance moves and was a little afraid he would retract his stance.

Shortening days, cooling temperatures, and snow in the high country all signal the start of the rut (elk mating season). Elk begin moving to lower elevations. Driving along early one morning last fall in the valley, and we spotted this bull elk off in the distance by himself. He moved along at a good pace, likely in search of a partner or few :-) Occasionally, he would stop long enough for a shot or two, and I particularly liked this one with the autumn colors displayed as a backdrop.
