It features what has to be one of the most blistering horn sections ever recorded in popular music. Remarkably the track failed to chart in America though the single was a big hit in the UK.

I wanted to take a photo of my favorite wine bottle on a pitch black background, with just two strips of light iluminating the outline of the glass bottle. So I went to the hardware store on the weekend and bought some material to build a DIY lightbox that I could control with white and black cloth.
The photo turned out just like I wanted. I learned quite a few interesting things with this experiment. For example, if you place the bottle directly between the light sources, the reflection will not outline the edge of the bottle but move towards the center. To outline the edge you have to place the bottle in front of the light source. Unfortunately, then not enough light falls on any flowers in the bottle, so you have to light them separately.
But the most important thing I learned is that these DIY hacks work in a pinch but are not very reliable. The light was difficult to control and I spent an entire afternoon and evening to get it right. What I really need is a proper softbox with a grid. (Goes off for some online shopping.)

Separate from a crowded field of daisies, I noticed this pair, several feet away from the rest. "Embrace" came first to mind, but then I later thought maybe it conveyed more than that... perhaps an appreciation and care for one that stands a far from the masses.... well at least in my mind.
I had to crank the ISO here even though it was during sunset. I wanted a fast shutter speed bc it was a bit breezy. But in a way i hope the bit of noise and the dark tone here adds to the feeling.
Inadvertently uploaded this last night... so a few of you got a peek.

In 1959 Chevrolet again came up with a totally new car. From the front or rear the 1959 Chevrolets resembled nothing else on the road. From the headlights, placed as low as the law would permit, to the cat's-eye tail lights, the 1959 Chevrolet was a brand new car with all new sheet metal, a new frame, and even new series names. The most visual new change was the flat, wing shaped tailfins. The car was built on a 119 in (3,000 mm) wheelbase and was 211 in (5,400 mm) long-which was 11 in (280 mm) longer than the 1957 model. This made Chevrolet the longest car in the low-priced range, whereas two years before it had been the shortest. In addition, the car was 3 in (76 mm) wider outside and had 5 in (130 mm) more width inside than it did in 1958, through the reduction of door thickness. The "X" frame from 1958 was continued, but enlarged and strengthened to support the new body.
Little change was made for 1960. The new models were refinements of the 1959 style with a much more restrained front end, the return of the double cone tail lights of 1958 rather than the startling "cat's eyes" of 1959. Under the hood, things remained constant. Fuel injection was no longer available, but with the 348 cubic inch engine, a horsepower rating of 335 at 5800 rpm was now achieved. This involved the use of three double-barrel carburettors, a special cam and an 11.25:1 compression ratio, all sold as a package. Body style offerings followed 1959, with hardtops and sedans available. The convertible was reserved for the Impala series. The Bel Air Sport Sedan continued to use a rear window overhang and a huge wraparound rear window. Bel Airs (and Biscaynes) had two tail lights per side; the Impalas had three tail lights per side—a situation that would persist for most years through 1975. Many of the same options and accessories that were available on the Impala were also available on the Bel Air. The Bel Airs had more interior and exterior brightwork than the Biscayne.
The DAF 44 is a small family car that was introduced in 1966, by the Dutch company DAF. It was the first car to be built at the company's new plant at Born in Limburg. Styled by Michelotti.
In common with other DAF cars it featured an innovative continuously variable transmission system, the DAF Variomatic.

Heading toward the final ridge to the munro Carn na Gobhar with Sgurr na Lapaich on the left. Just walked through the clouds to arrive at this view at 761m. Weather was to deteriorate later on as thunderstorms, hail and lightening moved in at the end of the ridge at An Socach.
97302 and 97303 approach Machynlleth with a movement of timber from Aberystwyth to Chirk. The 97s will take the train to Shrewsbury where 56113 will take over.

Special military move S833 (Fort Bragg to Rose Lake, IL) cruises west through Talcott, West Virginia on the C&O Alleghany Subdivision on May 20, 2022.
It seems that we have some talented squirrels in our midst, this squirrel had some smooth moves, and afterwards even smiled at his accomplishments.
Its not every day you see a light engine move like this, Lner`s hst power car 43309 is seen at Colton , The move was 0Z43 the 07.54 Heaton T&R.S.M.D. to Bounds green T&R.S.M.D.

One sunset out at Robot Heart I was riding by and decided to join the partay for a while. I told this guy I thought he was pretty cool. Then he told me he thought I was pretty cool. I was like nah man, I’m not that cool. Then he said, nah man, you are. Then I was like, cool, okay, I’ll take it, thanks. Then I showed him some dance moves and was a little afraid he would retract his stance.
Shortening days, cooling temperatures, and snow in the high country all signal the start of the rut (elk mating season). Elk begin moving to lower elevations. By September, a bull's antlers are fully grown and almost ready for the displays and battles to come. (source: Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation)
Driving along early one morning last fall in the valley, and we spotted this bull elk off in the distance by himself. He moved along at a good pace, likely in search of a partner or few :-) Occasionally, he would stop long enough for a shot or two, and I particularly liked this one with the autumn colors displayed as a backdrop.

CN 543 has NS power (NS 8091 & NS 4926) as it heads east on the Montreal Sub with baretables moving from a siding at Les Cèdres to the Butler siding (where they still are to this day).
