Mount Kinabalu is the tallest mountain in Malaysia,measuring at 4,095 metres.
Here is a couple of my buddies sitting on a little ledge up on Mount Sagamook. This moutain is not quite as high as Mount Carleton however the trail is much more steep and the view is far more spectacular.

Steam power pushes the passenger car to the 6,288 foot summit of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, USA.
Mount Diablo Jewelflower (Streptanthus hispidus). This rare species grows wild in only one place in the world -- on Mt. Diablo in Contra Costa County, California.
The specific epithet "hispidus" means "covered with stiff hairs or bristles", which is an accurate description.

There are many legends surrounding Mount Caburn. One of them tells about a Giant by the name of Gil who was said to have walked the slopes of mount Caburn, hurling his hammer from the summit. This was apparently to mark the site where he was to be buried. Further down is an old mine called "Gil's Grave". Another legend tells about how Mount Cabrun came about. When the Devil build Devil's Dyke and threw earth wide and far, one of the mounts that formed was Mount Caburn.

Mount Athos is a mountain and peninsula in Macedonia, Greece. A World Heritage Site and self-governed state in the Hellenic Republic, Athos is home to 20 stavropegial Eastern Orthodox monasteries under the direct jurisdiction of the patriarch of Constantinople. Today Greeks commonly refer to Mount Athos as the "Holy Mountain".
