This is where Jesus delivered the sermon on the mount. You can find the text in Matthew 5:1-12.
1 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them.
The Beatitudes
He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
(On a personal note, I never imagined the Mount of Beatitudes was so tiny.)
Words can only convey a small impression of what Mount Congreve has to offer. To get a full appreciation of what has been achieved here in such a short time by Mr Ambrose Congreve, one has to visit the garden as the seasons unfold.
The gardens at Mount Congreve, Waterford, consist of around seventy acres of intensively planted woodland garden and a four acre walled garden. The owner, the late Mr Ambrose Congreve, was inspired by Mr Lionel de Rothschild’s exceptional garden at Exbury in Hampshire, England.
It was here that his interest in gardening was nurtured and he became infected with a passion and enthusiasm for plants such as Rhododendrons, Magnolias, Camellias and indeed many other floras from every continent in the world.
The entire collection consists of over three thousand different trees and shrubs, more than two thousand Rhododendrons, six hundred Camellias, three hundred Acer cultivars, six hundred conifers, two hundred and fifty climbers and fifteen hundred herbaceous plants.

Mount Nebo - It is rare to find a single place that has significant meaning to Islam, Christianity and Judaism alike and can be easily accessed by visitors seeking to retrace Moses’s journey to the Holy Land.
Such a place is Jordan’s Mount Nebo, north-west of Amman in the governorate of Madaba. It still at-tracts tourists despite regional un-rest and terrorism threats..Taken @Madaba, Jordan
Mount Garfield is found just to the north and east of Grand Junction Colorado.
It rises to an elevation just above the six thousand foot level. In respect to the local topography it is two thousand feet higher than the floor of the Grand Valley. It is five thousand feet lower than the top of the Grand Mesa which attains a height of eleven thousand feet above sea level. It must be noted that the Grand Mesa deserves the title GRAND by virtue of it's own merit. It is the largest flat topped mountain in the world, and lies to the south and the east of Mount Garfield. The Colorado river lies between. The original name given to the Colorado River in the early days was the Grand River. It was from this name that the valley, the mesa, and the City of Grand Junction received their names. The first buildings in the city were near the junction of the Gunnison River, and the (Grand ) Colorado River

Sculptor Gutzon Borglum began drilling into the 5,725-foot mountain in 1927. Creation of the Shrine of Democracy took 14 years and cost a mere $1 million, though it's now deemed priceless.
View of Mount St. Helens from the Johnston Ridge Visitors Center within the Mount St. Helens National Monument, October 22, 2007. The volcano had been continuously erupting for just over three years when this photo was taken. The eruption has produced the lava dome visible in the center of the horseshoe-shaped crater created by the explosive eruption of May 18, 1980. A small plume of steam and volcanic gas can be seen rising from the lava dome.

Taken during a visit to the Mount Emei area near Chengdu in China in December 2013.
These particular photos were taken from my arrival at the Mount Emei Scenic Area, on the climb up to the "Golden Summit" area by foot and cable car, and the descent back down again, including all those crazy tibetan macaques which just love to grab goodies from the passing tourists.

Mount Ararat (Turkish: Ağrı Dağı, see below for its other names and etymology) is a snow-capped, dormant volcanic cone in Turkey. It has two peaks: Greater Ararat (the highest peak in Turkey and the entire Armenian plateau with an elevation of 5,137 m or 16,854 ft) and Lesser Ararat (with an elevation of 3,896 m or 12,782 ft).
The Ararat massif is about 40 km (25 mi) in diameter. The Iran-Turkey boundary skirts east of Lesser Ararat, the lower peak of the Ararat massif. It was in this area that, by the Tehran Convention of 1932, a border change was made in Turkey's favour, allowing it to occupy the eastern flank of Lesser Ararat.
Ararat - The Bible says that Noah's ark landed on the mountains of Ararat. This does not refer to any specific mountain or peak, but rather a mountain range within the region of Ararat, which was the name of an ancient kingdom of Urartu.[6] Nonetheless, one particular tradition identifies the mountain as Mount Masis, the highest peak in the Armenian Highland, which is therefore called Mount Ararat. (As opposed to the Armenian and European tradition, Semitic tradition identifies the mountain as Judi Dagh located in Turkey near Cizre.) According to the medieval Armenian historian Moses of Khoren in his History of Armenia, the plain of Ayrarat (directly north of the mountain) got its name after King Ara the Handsome. Here the Assyrian Queen Semiramis is said to have lingered for a few days after the death of Ara. According to Thomson, the mountain is called Ararat (Armenian: Արարատ) corresponding to Ayrarat, the name of the province.
