Today was very cold and very windy and Aberdyfi looked pretty moody.

31/365 • January 31, 2016

Waltham, MA

This was before the massive meltdown this week due to unseasonably high temps.

Sometimes, I really love rainy days, right when the rain breaks. You get some nice, soft lighting, and the rain drops on an automobile can make for a nice, moody photo. Thanks for lookin', and have a great day!

Oh, moody blue

Tell me who I'm talkin' to

You're like the night and day

And it's hard to say

Which one is you

For this week's Macro Mondays theme "everything Elvis", a tribute to The King's last number one hit.

The perfume bottles were lit with two flashes: one fired through a DIY mini strip light to camera left and one fired through a 24 inch soft box from high front.

Taken on the Southbank of the Thames near London Eye... Crisp Spring afternoon... This Street musician was awesome - couldn't help but spend some time appreciating his talent... Also liked the love-birds in the background!

James Moody was an American jazz saxophone and flute player. He was best known for his hit "Moody's Mood for Love," an improvisation based on "I'm in the Mood for Love"; in performance, he often improvised vocals for the tune.

It was a miserable day here in Melbourne

Helen is moody model for the 90mm f2.0. The Bokeh is outstanding!

Our thanks goes out to The Moody Foundation for their support and hard work at The Salvation Army's Midway Citadel Community Service Center. Special thanks to the employees who came out to replace ceiling tiles at the center. It was hard work, but everyone had fun helping to give the center a new look! Thank you to everyone who helped on the project.

The Moody Church at the corners of W. North Ave., N. Clark St. and N. LaSalle Dr. was designed by architects Fugard and Knapp and completed in1925. Covering an area of 140 feet by 225 feet, the church combines Romanesque and Byzantine architecture and is one of the largest Romanesque churches in the United States. The building was originally intended to be 20 feet longer, but due to widening of N. LaSalle Dr., the layout had to be altered; this is believed by some to be the reason for the unusually steep choir loft. From floor to the false acoustic ceiling is 68 feet, and the structural ceiling is 10 to 15 feet above that. The church remains the largest non-pillared auditorium in the Chicago area, and has permanent seating for 3,740 people, 2,270 on the main floor and 1,470 in the balcony. The curved balcony was one of the earliest examples of cantilevered construction, and its curvature – as well as the rest of the layout of the auditorium – was designed so that all lines focus on the pulpit.

Behind my house is a small man made pond where I walk the dog each day. The skies were very moody and just screaming to use black and white.
