There is a People's Friendship Monument in honour of the 100th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's entry to Russia. It was opened in 1974 in the park, on Chui prospect, Ala-Too square. Sculptors include T. Sadykov, Z. Khabibulin, O. B. Bakashev, and architect - A. Nezhurin.
The monument is 28 metres high, it represents two wings-like pylons made of concrete, lined with white marble. Pylons are girded with high relief made of copper by hammering and chasing. The base of the monument is of grey marble. The composition consists of 13 high relief figures symbolising the unbreakable friendship of Kyrgyz and Russian people. In the centre of the composition are two women - mothers: Russian and Kyrgyz. Their hands are held together in a handshake.

The Monument to the Battle of the Nations (das Völkerschlachtdenkmal) is a monument to the Battle of Leipzig of 1813. It was completed in 1913 for the 100th anniversary of the battle.

The National Monument on Dam Square, Amsterdam, is a 1956 World War II monument in the Netherlands. A national Remembrance of the Dead ceremony is held at the monument every year on 4 May to commemorate the casualties of World War II and subsequent armed conflicts.
