Tree Pose, Vrksasana is a standing balancing pose, that increases mental focus, develops mental and physical balance, strengthens the muscles in the legs and abdominal area. Practice this pose on both sides of the body. Hold the pose for 7-15 breaths or as long as you feel comfortable. Remember to find a non-moving spot with your gaze, called Drishti--it's an important element when practicing balancing postures, also engage your core muscles. I had the pleasure of practicing this pose with my daughter who has been my yogi since her creation. Feeling blessed and blissful!
