Finally I decided to sell the little Olympus µ [mju:] i. It goes on eBay tonight. I struggled with this decision, as it is a great little machine in such a compact package. I bought 4 Pentax machines at the weekend, so something has to give. Here is another shot from a recent roll of Ilford HP5 I shot with the little Olympus. Developed in 510 Pyro.

The mill apparatus has long since fallen into disrepair, which is too darn bad.

Happy Birthday to me, what a nice present... a Covid test, lucky me...
Special thanks to the testers for permission to shoot this series and put up with occasional accidental beeps when my camera hit the car horn as the swab poked my brain 😷

For all those visiting today, this image a made it into the Pentaxian Yearbook 2020, the book itself is well worth a look at, you can view the online version for free here;
Thanks.
Another shot taken with my little old Retinette type 030. Everything moves a slice fashion with this camera and winding mechanism is very silky for some reason. Oil m was Ilford XP2 and box speed and cross processed in 510 Pyro if I remember rightly.
An interesting gizmo arrived last week, an adapter that provides Autofocus to old vintage lenses. Here is a test shot with the Takumar 50/1.4(8e) upon the Fujifilm XH2S using Face/Eye Detection.
Review forthcoming...
Happy Mono Monday!
Shot on Fomapan 100 with the Toyo 4x5 view camera. The pier is a victorian structure and fell into disrepair years ago. A group is now restoring it and a short section is now open to the public. Work continues section by section.
New South Wales is currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of rainfall, causing havoc in many parts of the state,18,000 people have been evacuated from their homes due to floods.
After a couple of wet days cooped up I decided I needed to get some fresh (wet) air and headed into my local national park, really to just illustrate the obvious and why it is currently closed.
Despite all the wet destruction I still cannot deny the beauty in rain, especially in the subtle things.
Mist and fog on Grandview Island beach. The rocks just off shore are the ruins of Back River lighthouse, destroyed in 1956 by Hurricane Flossy.

As I enjoyed 2023's project so much I figured I'd carry on.
A relaxed affair again this year but with an emphasis on getting outside more often. That's the plan anyway.
First up a stick in a puddle.
Happy days.
Our back garden is lined by these massive conifer trees which do my head in. From 3 o'clock onwards the sun disappears, so back garden time is pretty much over. There is however a small window of nice light which shines through a gap from about 6.30 onwards.
I was sitting having my brew in said light and loved the way it was hitting my patio and this leaf blown off in the recent high winds.
I'd rather be sat waiting on Ynys Llanddwyn for the Milkyway to pop up but my back garden in the late afternoon will have to do today.
