In 2010 the Red Shirt protesters set up several camps around the city of Bangkok. One was at Lumphini Park. At this camp they erected a massive barricade, made of old tires and bamboo, to keep the police and soldiers out. While walking around the exterior I spotted a hole in the barricade, and on the inside was a monk seated under a tree. It looks like he's having a spiritual moment, but in truth he's just reading a news paper.

There were about 40 or 50 monks walking in line to gather alms from the population.
