and well I decided to change the colour of the flash once, well the tongue and lip are from my favourite band and the Apple logo from the eighties,
1. Brake pipes added to the top of bogie frames.
2. Cabside steps top step modified to match prototype.
3. Hand brake chain shortened. Hook added on bogie frame to allow easy disconnection and reattachment.
4 and 5. Flexible sanding pipes added using 1 mm elastic. These are attached to the underframe and slot into sleeves added to the bogies for easy disconnection. These are in line with the rails/wheels, unlike the Heljan versions fitted in line with the inner ends of the bogie frames, and none at the front of the loco.
The faces of the wheels were primed and painted black to remove the shiny metalic finish.

Although, I'm still not happy with it, and my next project will probably be glueing the parts together again.

A pile of parts all cut to length and deburred await further machining. The parts closest to the camera have been radiused using the KX1 CNC with the new automated spray mist system.
