That "Tired Little Model" is actually me. When I was a child, my father owned a small photography studio in Selkirk, Manitoba. He would sometimes use my siblings and me as models for practice shots and lighting set-ups. Unfortunately, I didn't pay much attention at the time, so I didn't learn much about photography. My parents separated by the time I was 10 years old and I rarely saw my father after that. I've always been fond of this photo though. Love those big old lights!

This photo was 90% model and 10% me screwing around with lights and a fan. I shot this with a Canon 580EX speedlight with a shoot-through umbrella slightly left and in front of model camera left and high. I used a reflector for fill, aimed up from the floor. I had two bare Canon 550EXs behind model right and left. (The one on the left had a yellow gel on it.

wow this guy was good, i swear i thought he was gonna be all silly and stuff but in the end he did amazing, i'm pretty happy with the photos i took of him!

i hope you like it, i'm kinda exploring this side of photography and so far i like it. still i love photos that has meaningful concepts, i dont think this one has it but it's a very special photo because i've never had a guy model for me hehe!

any opinions? =)
