My mod metallic brocade shift-dress is an homage to brides eternal: Miss Havisham & the Edie Beale’s – but it was doubtlessly the provenance of a 1960s bride luckier in love. Tinsel braid trims the frock’s neckline & empire waist, which I double-belted with woven leather. A bevy of bracelets charmingly chimes with delicate whimsy as my arm moves… Fashionshesays.com.

This is my first ftm mod and I think it came out pretty well.

At first I was really scared to use the dremel, so I spent 2.5 hours carving at it with an exacto knife before I finally caved. X,D Never again. Will definitely go with dremel from the get go on any future mods like this.
The owner wanted a lock on the back of her doll.
I had to glue the torso together and drilled a hole, so the key can be turned around. The lock didn't fit perfectly as the back is very curvy. Breaking it in three pieces and then repair it again with epoxy and paint.
It was a really fun mod to do and learned a lot from it.

This was a piece of scrap wood that has some really pretty burn marks from the sawmill on one side. Also, I love the big knot on the edge. I usually do quite a bit of refinishing to my pieces, but I just loved this one as-is!

3 Hong Kong sisters. The 2 on the left are recent finds. The AA girl wears her original swimsuit. The dress in the middle is vintage with a white "O" snap in the back. The waist is very tight, it will not fit around a regular sized barbie waist. The red outfit is Rovin' Red for Missy Mod. I need the red tights and boots.

I didn't like the scalloped edges on this wooden valance, but I also didn't want to go through the trouble of tearing it down, so I just Mod Podged some scrapbook paper on it!
