I was surprised to see an iguana crawling through the grass in Florida. When I returned home I found this information on a-z Animals. "Interestingly, every species of iguana are invasive. There are no iguana species that are actually native to Florida. Instead, the three main species currently living throughout the state are invasive species. Humans brought these lizards to Florida from nearby islands via cargo ships and independent releases throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Eventually, their populations exploded. Florida just happens to be an ideal environment for iguanas, with its warm, humid weather and diverse plant and animal life for the massive lizards to feed on. However, over time, they’ve all become misunderstood yet highly invasive nuisances, wreaking havoc on the state’s plant and animal life and causing serious damage to both man-made and natural structures with their feces and elaborate burrows."

The venue was "Teatro del Museo de Bellas Artes" and the show was Hermanos Abreu and friends. Betsy Salazar(?) was one of the invitees to play with the still teenage sons Diego and Fabio of percussionist Yaroldy Abreu Robles. There were 3 bassist alternating on the stage and Betsy captured my attention not only with her intricate hair style. I have never seen a bass player to play with such grace. It was a ballet of fingers on four strings. I am not sure of her last name, as it was either Salara or Salazar. I asked her, but probably misunderstood. Usually, I would find some reference, but I guess she is still in school, so her name is not yet familiar. Yunior Terry and Roberto Alvarez were the two other bassists on stage. I was sitting and talking with Ferdinand Stemmer, a Swiss organ master, who is restoring the Merklin-Schütze organ (1856) in the Basilica St. Francis. He is now working on it for few years, a labour of love. You definitelly meet a lots of interesting people in Havana.

"Forget ME not" was created to raise awareness about M.E (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) - an extremely debilitating, life changing, complex chronic disease that has received shamefully low attention and fundings for research for decades. Over 20 million people across the globe are affected and in the aftermaths of COVID this number is quickly rising (many Long Covid patients end up being diagnosed with M.E).

During our events in May we will create awareness, break the stigma and fundraise for the "Open Medicine Foundation" who conduct research into M.E, Long Covid, Fibromyalgia and related chronic conditions. On the Bavarian side of the River Inn a bench invites to rest opposite the Austrian town of Schärding.

Taken on an Autumn evening with a "toy" lens on a tiny camera: the 04 TOY LENS WIDE on a PENTAX Q. The lens has a focal length of 6.3mm, equivalent to a 35mm lens on "full-frame". The aperture is fixed at f:7.1, focussing is manual.

Post-processing in "Colour Projects" and SilkyPix Pro 9.
