I Miss Monsoons back home in Kerala...
Couldnt even bring myself to look at Anoop Negi's monsoon laden Let it Rain! Goan seascape yesterday! (Ok! I exagerrated a little!;),but hey, that was an amazing image!)
This picture was taken during the Discover Planet Group meet in April 2010.Meeting friends and shooting in backwaters ...that was great fun.Taken with my P&S, the afternoon light was extremely harsh and i felt texture overlay could help bring the image to better quality.I love that light on the hull:)
Thought of posting this yesterday but i didnt want to upload this picture, because the flickr resolution made it bleary and soft..then(may be i didnt know how to process it to flickr's satisfaction!) .but it looks better in flickr's new avtar today...Do you think so?

I will skip the elaborate tagging session, the week is pretty bad, July 1st shines bright in front of me, as i rush to embrace it and live thru these last few days of June madness...

This is one from the allotment. I have to chose an image from the 800 or so that I took to enter a competition for the Allotment Society. This one doesn't really say 'allotment' but I love it all the same - so I thought I would share it here. Happy Monday - soggy here!
I had to work during the eclipse. Right at the peak of the event. I was living vicariously through everyone else's reports.

Although the state has done everything to crucify myself and others I managed to get a car after mine was stolen and nothing was done.
I managed to get another camera after I had to pawn mine for a couple of nights on a couch in the middle of winter.. Haven't yet managed to get my lens back together ( I think it's hopeless) which was destroyed.Nothing else nothing was done about this either.
People whom are marginalized are not believed. Assumptions are made like we have no education ( I have 2 bachelors for what their worth)
Alcoholic, Drug Addict ? I mean anything to undermine your reputation will be used to keep them from being caught (and often they are projecting) even if they have to kill you.
,I'm an activist.. so get it ready because I find problems are solved with honesty and OPENING your mouth in some cases. Working TOGHETHER FOR SOLUTIONS ! You would never know it but there IS PLENTY to go around for everyone if we learn to SHARE ~ you know that thing we taught our 3 year olds ?
In other cases.. it's better to be silent...
because the state is like ' you know all that stuff we took from you and your family ? Well, we CAN take it all..' of course we have no recourse or very little...being pushed to suicide is another favorite and with all the medical/mental health records and data they have on each and every one of us it isn't hard to do if you know someone's triggers.
These organizations are IMMUNIED from prosecution unless ....
This year i have a roof over my head but am still considered homeless because of the place I reside. After 3-4 years of homelessness and the loss of my sister this last year. The theft of all of our property make it rather sad to even see a holiday ornament, watch tv and seeholiday ads. Add to this the inability to see one another, once again... makes us all sad...

Woke up so early on the sound of the rain, I was in Florence, I opened the window.. Everything looks so beautiful, I noticed those lovely umbrellas walking under the rain............
