A couple cranes rushing to catch up with the rest of the flock...

Airports are generally pretty drab places or else filled with the gaudiness of taxfree shops and the like. But there are exceptions such as South Korea's wonderful Incheon Airport (see my www.flickr.com/photos/87453322@N00/4640923071/in/photolis...) with its real botanical garden.

Singapore's Changi Airport is also very plant friendly albeit not in a garden form but rather with bright horticultural displays. Though the basic structure remains the same, the flowers vary. Today the focus is on Hydrangeas, and I was greeted by this pretty bouquet. So - nearly missing my onward connection - Sony stopped me to take this shot.

Plants would seem appropriate for this airport. It was named so it is said for the great Changi Tree which once stood here. Towering to some 76 metres, it was cut down during WWII so that it couldn't be used for triangulation by the Japanese enemies.

Missing it again just a little bit, looking back at these photos. It'd be nice to be there today, walking around looking at all the desert-type plants and wildlife with all that water behind. An interesting juxtaposition...

(Try to map something in the new flickr and you get "We’re hard at work redesigning our brand new photo experience" - and basically, you can't do that here.

It's brand new, not working, and already being redesigned?

I'm so impressed.)

Meanwhile back at trawling through the archives, somewhere in Penge I think, something missing (probably the focus) my ever so slightly temperamental Spotmatic.

When I see her again I will let you know 💕

As winter draws ever closer the use of these Beach huts will be used less and less over the autumn and winter months.

I liked this repetitive pattern in mono.

She breached her ASBO (for breaking & entering, theft and vandalism) and was last spotted in your neck of the woods.

Have you seen her?

No?

Well, thank you for your time and if you do think of anything please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thats me x 2 and Lou composited with a spooky house I found in Kegworth (apologies to the owners!) and bear heads from one of those coin operated kids' rides. And that doll is actually a Goldilocks doll from a kit we sell at work.

There seems to be a bit of a theme developing in my photos: bears & replacement heads - I wonder what psychological meaning that has? ;o)

Beautiful colorful grass somewhere between Jasper Lake and Hinton (Alberta) - it was a hot, sunny day in the fall.

Hey my great flickr friends ;-)!

It has been awhile... somehow all my attempts to end my "ghost state" here have failed ;-) and I'm very sorry about that!! I definitely miss you and your work! And I always learned so much from you...! Therefore I'll try to appear at least from time to time, probably it won't be possible to comment on your work and to post my stuff regularly - or as regular as it has been in the past - but we'll see ;-)...

I'm going to post two iPhone videos, one (mostly) of SF, one of AZ (Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff...) where I've spent 2,5 weeks in May.

And I definitely left my heart on this side of the world.......... (and 3 min. aren't long enough for sentimental memory videos, btw. :-))..!!).

Thanks a lot to all for watching and for your patience in general! I'll try my best to visit your photo streams asap! ;-). P. S.: Just looked at the videos on flickr and am definitely shocked and a bit frustrated and sad about the bad quality! Not sure how much they have compressed them, but the difference to the original ones is immense... I'm very sorry... I wouldn't have posted them in such a bad quality, especially the time lapse parts are totally blurred... thanks a lot for your kindness and encouragement despite that, my dear flickr friends... how good that I've taken more than 2000 pics with my camera during my time there :-)...... :-))

Okay now people can start think it is actually not FULL ROUND it is what we see =)

Abstract simplicity of a random observation during a recent morning out with the family. The nails in the wall are actually used with wire to hold up plants and climbers.

This white-tail buck has shed its antlers and has a patch of fur missing on its back. Does anyone know a likely cause for this lost fur?

some time to photos. So it's life these days

I'm slowly editing my way through photos from my recent trip to Paris and realising how much I want to go back.

Was out back working on my fence today & couldn't help but miss the mighty Rocco who ruled this turf for so many years.

PABLO!! come home!

Alice In Wonderland is still missing since September 11st 2010.

She was a splendid mother and very brave. She was not afraid of snow, cold or ice.

I wish I could have her back but I know it's very difficult living in the middle of the woods.

This is the price of the freedom.

Wishing you a great week ahead, my dear Flickr Friends.

When you are little there are times when everything stops just for you. Mummy stopped in the passage to become a bridge for Roxy. Roxy had several passages, both ways. Much pleasure1
