I Miss Monsoons back home in Kerala...

Couldnt even bring myself to look at Anoop Negi's monsoon laden Let it Rain! Goan seascape yesterday! (Ok! I exagerrated a little!;),but hey, that was an amazing image!)

This picture was taken during the Discover Planet Group meet in April 2010.Meeting friends and shooting in backwaters ...that was great fun.Taken with my P&S, the afternoon light was extremely harsh and i felt texture overlay could help bring the image to better quality.I love that light on the hull:)

Thought of posting this yesterday but i didnt want to upload this picture, because the flickr resolution made it bleary and soft..then(may be i didnt know how to process it to flickr's satisfaction!) .but it looks better in flickr's new avtar today...Do you think so?

Hence, this is also Celebrating the New Enlarged Viewing Experience @ Flickr ...

I will skip the elaborate tagging session, the week is pretty bad, July 1st shines bright in front of me, as i rush to embrace it and live thru these last few days of June madness...

Meanwhile this makes be sit back and feel better today..

See you around folks and thanks for looking in:)

This is one from the allotment. I have to chose an image from the 800 or so that I took to enter a competition for the Allotment Society. This one doesn't really say 'allotment' but I love it all the same - so I thought I would share it here. Happy Monday - soggy here!

Old car with missing parts -here the door handle

Was mir an diesem Bild gefällt, ich aber erst später bemerkt hatte - links sieht man noch eine geschlossene Blüte, rechts eine offene, und in der Mitte die (fast) verblühte... :)

I had to work during the eclipse. Right at the peak of the event. I was living vicariously through everyone else's reports.

Another shot that was made during the stay in the camouflage blind (see picture underneath the sandpiper shot. This is the female Kingfisher bringing fish to the chicks. You can clearly see that the burden of bringing up two nests of chicks is starting to show..

Unfortunately, according to M, she seems to have vanished for already a week now. Hope she's alright.

I'm really missing the barn recently, especially this little horse.

I have midterms next week and will be stuck studying for a while, so the barn will have to wait for another weekend.

Imperial scientists have discovered the 'missing link' in how the abominations of treachery and evil, known as the Ewoks, came to be.

My left shoe has gone missing. I have't seen it in over a month and I'm growing concerned. It looks like the right one, which is pictured above; purple, jewelled, 4" tall, size 9 and likes being worn with dresses.

I think it might have run away from home, I'm not sure who's foot it ran away on though.

If seen, tell it to come home before it scuffs it's sole.

Update: It's still missing.

Update: Shoe has been found! It was hiding behind my bookshelf.

At the park with the bin lids, eldest daughter had a hissy fit..... Had my camera in hand, so why not?

I imagine we've all had times when we've felt without purpose, like this channel marker when the tide is out.
