While humans and other birds enjoy the freedom of the park, this peahen stood droopily in a corner of her cage.

The Secondary school at Buttershaw has a number of name changes since its opening in 1956.
In 1956 it opened as Buttershaw Secondary School , since then it has been ButtershawComprehensive, Buttershaw Upper School and Buttershaw High School. Currently it enjoys the name of Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College.
The original 1956 buildings were extended in the early 1960. Further building work continued during the 70’s 80’ and 90’s.
In 2008 the new building was opened and the old building demolished.

I'm not going to be on line much over the next few days, as Wodehouse is not very well. He has a very badly infected hind paw, and is very miserable, in a certain amount of pain, and needs some comfort.
After a wet, miserable, cold Winter's day yesterday, today we woke to lovely blue skies. Who would have thought that two days would be so different. I went for a walk around the neighbourhood with the 180 mm lens and the 2x extender to see what I could find for photos. To my surprise I spotted some bees busily collecting pollen from the red Dahlia in a neighbour's garden. I thought that they had all disappeared for the Winter. Although I find it painful to carry the heavy equipment around, I am sure now that I will manage when we are in South Africa, as a lot of my photos will be taken from the car.
