A collection of screenshots from the plasma project in Second Life. The place and all art will be deleted on Dec 01, 2008, it is too expensive to pay the Linden Labs' fees to keep it open for public. Its a shame, so many great non-commercial places like this are dying in the moment. They attract users, they are the content. Without such content Second Life is an empty bubble.

The First Meeting of D-8 Working Group on Mining and Minerals (WGMM) was held in Bali, Indonesia, on 11-12 December 2008. The Meeting was attended by delegations from all D-8 member countries, namely, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Malaysia, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Turkey.

Moses R.T. Mwakisalu (right) and his boss Westone Chikopa (left) of FAIR Opportunities for Mining Workers host a Sunday afternoon meeting of past and present mine workers. They use Mr. Sichinga’s story as a way of trying to persuade attendees that there is a need for a mine and metalworkers union in Malawi. Moses claims that Paladin Africa prevented him from accessing the Kayelekera mine last year when canvassing for mining workers to sign onto the union. The Malawian press reported that the Minister of Labour was also prevented from entering the mine compound on an unannounced visit in 2011.
