In the Navadeville, Co. area this hill is tailings from mining during the gold rush but a local has started this whole here and has a sectioned roped off. I see this years he has concrete step's laid out - it's pretty slick when wet.
Taking opportunity because of the weekend I went to the Upper Silesia to take part in a workshop for photographers (professionals and amateurs). The event was organized in an old coal mine now converted into a modern conference centre and a museum.
After catching in the village at The Granites Gold Mine, it's release time after being transported well away from the village. But this one doesn't want to leave.

The Museum is run by a group of volunteers in a microgranite quarry at Threlkeld, with a Geology Room, Bookshop, Underground Experience, Gold Panning, Excavator Display, Engine House and Steam Engine, all there to enjoy together with the Quarry and the views. Also on offer are mine tours and mineral panning.
The quarry itself is a RIGS site and displays contacts between the “Skiddaw Slate” and the granite intrusion, as well as other fascinating features.
Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum have their own narrow gauge railway and “Sir Tom”, a steam locomotive, hauls passengers daily in the summer holidays and on other weekends. In quiet periods one of the collection of vintage classic diesel locos is used.

Protest rally called by Mining Dependents at Kranti Circle, KTC Panaji on 19.3.18. Supreme Court stopped all mining activities effective 16.3.18 after cancelling all mining permits. Vegetation almost completely obscures this old mining tunnel at the old Mother Lode Mine on Lookout Mountain.
Navadaville area where once bout 4000 people were here for the gold now just as few live here but area's as this still stand - it's where they used the rocks to level the ground to build there home's on.
