Das Stargarder Tor wurde zu Beginn des 14. Jahrhunderts erbaut, das Vortor entstand wenige Jahrzehnte später. Die Tore sind 40 m voneinander entfernt und mit zwei 4 m hohen Mauern verbunden. Innerhalb der beiden Tore befindet sich ebenfalls ein Zollhäuschen.
Besonderheit am Haupttor sind die neun Figuren aus Terrakotta, Adorantinnen genannt. Die Bedeutung ist bis heute nicht geklärt.
Vor der Toranlage befindet sich die Lohmühle. Hier floss früher der Lindebach durch und diente als Antrieb der Mühle. Bis in die 70er Jahre wurde in der motorgetriebenen Getreidemühle noch gearbeitet. Heute ist hier eines der besten Restaurants der Stadt ansässig.

I took several photos of this scene with my tilt-shift lens, trying out different f stops. The woman in the straw hat was in a different spot in each picture. Can you find her?

Finally reading the manual for the Canon PowerShot SX150 IS, I discovered a few more interesting effects and abilities.
This image was recorded using the miniature effect (or "fake tilt shift"), which really just blurs parts of the image. This probably wasn't the perfect scene to test it with. (No post-processing by me; this is what the camera recorded.)
