set Lego 75259. A T-47 airspeeder, better known as "snowspeeder", is a Rebel Alliance vehicle featured in The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and several books, comics, and video games in the Star Wars Expanded Universe and also in Atari game cartridges in the 80's. Snowspeeder models and replicas have been merchandised by several companies.

Origin and design

During production of The Empire Strikes Back, designer Joe Johnston conceived a ship that combined the body of an X-wing and the cockpit of the Y-wing.[23] However, this design was scrapped for the T-47, which featured no elements from previous craft. Johnston's designs for the Snowspeeders have influenced later Star Wars designers, such as Tommy Lee Edwards.

The models were built in three different scales by Steve Gawley, Charlie Bailey, and Mike Fulmer of ILM, with the smallest (20 inches) used for motion control photography, and the largest for hero and pyrotechnic shots. All models included motor-controlled flaps to imply maneuverability, and the largest version also possessed motor-articulated crew Several full-scale props were built in London for the hangar, cockpit, and speeder crash scenes.

"It's the trooper you don't see that will get you."

Death troopers were an elite variant of the Galactic Empire's stormtroopers designed for stealth, espionage and lethality. Operating under Imperial Intelligence, they served as protective details and bodyguards for significant Imperial officers and members of the Tarkin Initiative, as well as special-assignment commandos. They wore black suits of body armor and specialized helmets with vocal scramblers, micro-motion sensors, and heads-up displays with data on enemy and friendly positions on the battlefield. Death troopers were trained in unarmed combat, heavy weapons, demolitions, improvised weaponry, guerrilla warfare, and marksmanship. They were experts at covering their tracks, and left little to no evidence of their missions.

...The Battle of Scarif, also known as the action on Scarif, the mission to Scarif, or the raid on Scarif, was the first major battle fought in 0 BBY between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. The battle was preceded by years of attacks by the fledgling Rebel Alliance against the Empire and began the five-year period in which the Alliance successfully fought to replace the Galactic Empire with the New Republic.

Prior to the battle, Rebel Alliance Intelligence Service intercepted information suggesting that renowned scientist Galen Erso was building an Imperial superweapon capable of destroying entire planets. Alliance leadership sent Galen Erso's daughter, Jyn Erso, and Captain Cassian Andor to learn more about her father's involvement, and their subsequent efforts saw the Alliance discover the existence of the Death Star, as well as a fatal flaw in the design placed there by Galen Erso.

Though the Alliance High Command refused to openly oppose the Empire, Erso and Andor led a small unit of Rebel Marines and other allies and defied orders, taking it upon themselves to launch an incursion of the Scarif Citadel, as the rebels planned to infiltrate the heavily guarded Citadel Tower base on Scarif to retrieve the Death Star plans. Under the callsign Rogue One, the unit infiltrated Scarif's planetary shield in a stolen Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttle and proceeded to wage a guerrilla assault on the Citadel's outskirts, drawing away Imperial forces so that Andor, Erso, and the droid K-2SO could infiltrate the facility. Director Orson Krennic, the former commander of the Death Star, attempted to stop Erso and Andor from stealing the plans, but the heavily outnumbered Rebels received support from the Alliance Fleet under Admiral Raddus, whose forces engaged the Imperial Star Destroyers above Scarif and worked to destroy the Shield Gate protecting the planet.

With the Shield Gate's destruction, Rogue One was able to transmit the stolen plans to the fleet above, though all remaining Rebel ground forces were eradicated by a low-powered blast from the newly arrived Death Star that destroyed the Citadel and surrounding area. The Sith Lord Darth Vader's forces made short work of the rebel ships that did not manage to retreat, but Princess Leia Organa escaped the battle in the Tantive IV; Vader pursued her to the planet Tatooine and captured her there, but the plans were already out of his reach. The plans eventually found their way to the Alliance, who used them to pinpoint the Death Star's weakness and destroy it at the Battle of Yavin.

"Ever since the XP-38 came out, they just aren't in demand."

―Luke Skywalker upon selling his landspeeder.

The X-34 landspeeder was a model of civilian landspeeder manufactured by SoroSuub Corporation and available during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

X-34 landspeeders were utilized as civilian transports perfect for traveling smoothly over even the roughest terrain. For this reason, they found use in harsh desert climates, and were in operation on the planet Tatooine during the Imperial Era.

The farmboy Luke Skywalker owned an old and battered X-34 which he made extensive use of to travel through the planet's deserts, leaving the craft sand-pocked and sun-faded, and missing its portside turbine cowling. Skywalker kept the landspeeder in good working order with tinkering and careful maintenance, which proved essential in the desert environment.

He sold the landspeeder in Mos Eisley for two thousand credits after the deaths of his aunt and uncle, Beru and Owen Lars, and used the money to help pay for transport to the planet Alderaan. Around this time, following the release of the XP-38, demand for X-34s had dropped in favor of the newer model. During the Galactic Civil War, the Alliance to Restore the Republic utilized X-34 landspeeders retrofitted with blaster cannons.

The Jawas are a species native to the planet Tatooine, they can also be found on planets that have Scrap such as Raxus Prime.

This species quickly learned the arts of trade to deal with humans and other races, but even knowing the basic language of the galaxy they prefer to speak in their own language called Jawes which consists of a system of screams that are difficult to understand.

These beings have a certain facility to understand the operation of technology, more specifically Robotics, and taking advantage of the fact that Tatooine is a place where many ships collide and are abandoned, they removed the parts that are useful to sell them.

They are a Gatherer species, be it scraps or droids, missing no opportunity to resell them or take away important parts to rebuild others.

"…Sienar System's basic TIE fighter—a commodity which, after hydrogen and stupidity, was the most plentiful in the galaxy…"

―Corran Horn

The TIE/LN starfighter, or TIE/line starfighter, simply known as the TIE Fighter or T/F, was the standard Imperial starfighter seen in massive numbers throughout most of the Galactic Civil War and onward. Colloquially, Rebel and New Republic pilots referred to the craft as "eyeballs."

"What is an exoplanet?

An exoplanet is any planet beyond our solar system. Most orbit other stars, but free-floating exoplanets, called rogue planets, orbit the galactic center and are untethered to any star."

The Imperial attack force consisted of primarily AT-AT walkers, commanded by General Maximillian Veers. His army was tasked with destroying Echo Base's main power generator to allow orbital bombardment of the planet. Spearheading the defense of the generator was the elite Rogue Squadron, manning snowspeeders.

The Imperial Army, also known as the Imperial Forces or Imperial ground forces, was the land-based branch of the Galactic Empire's military. As the ultimate evolution of the Grand Army of the Republic, the Imperial Army swiftly asserted dominance throughout the galaxy, making use of highly trained soldiers, mechanized walkers, and overwhelming numbers. The Imperial Army worked in tandem with the forces of the Imperial Navy, relying on the numerous fleets to transport legions of troopers across the far reaches of the galaxy. The most common soldiers of the Empire's ground forces were known as Imperial Army troopers, the core infantry of the army tasked with establishing Imperial regimes and pacifying troublesome worlds. As the Imperials reinforced their grip on the galaxy, these units were gradually phased out in favor of stormtroopers, elite shock troops fanatically loyal to the Emperor himself.

Promotional text from the 1977 and 1978 Sticker Album and Press Kits (with promotional images, remake with Lego bricks).

From now on, I will make images that appear in my 1977 sticker album LA GUERRA DE LAS GALAXIAS (Spanish edition).

------------------------

At the end of 1977, the Spanish publishing house Pacosa Dos Internacional acquired the rights to distribute in Spain the first sticker album related to the movie Star Wars, a film produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by 20th Century Fox a few months earlier. .

This album consisted of a total of 181 in full color and could be purchased at newsstands and grocery stores at a price of 15 pesetas. Most of these stickers were printed with a frame from the film itself, although we could also find a few in which the main actors appeared posing in the typical photographic set.

Next to each of the stickers we found the number assigned to the sticker within the collection and a small description of what the scene or character in question shows.

I hope you like them. Antonio Hidalgo

"The shield is down. Commence attack on the Death Star's main reactor."

―Admiral Gial Ackbar to the Alliance Fleet during the Battle of Endor

The Death Star's shield generator was an Imperial military installation on Endor during the Galactic Civil War. The facility housed the generator that powered the SLD-26 planetary shield generator protecting the Death Star II, which was being constructed in orbit of the forest moon. The base was guarded by a garrison of stormtroopers, scout troopers, Imperial fleet troopers and other Imperial officers, along with a complement of AT-ST's and AT-AT's. It was under the command of Colonel Dyer, Commander Igar, and Major Hewex.

During the Battle of Endor, a Rebel strike team led by General Han Solo infiltrated the bunker that housed the Imperial shield facility and destroyed it. This lowered the shields on the orbiting Death Star, allowing the Alliance Fleet to destroy the battle station.

"Are you Mandalorian?"

"I'm a simple man making his way through the galaxy. Like my father before me."

―Din Djarin and Boba Fett

Boba Fett was the unaltered clone of Jango Fett, a human male Mandalorian bounty hunter who raised Boba as his son during the Republic Era. Fett emulated his genetic donor, whom he regarded as his father, by wearing a customized suit of Mandalorian armor. His personal starship was Slave I, a Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft that once belonged to Jango. Trained in combat and martial skills from a young age, Fett was one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy during the Imperial Era. He became a legend over the course of his career, which included contracts for both the Galactic Empire and the extensive criminal underworld.

"She was left for dead on the sands of Tatooine, as was I. But fate sometimes steps in to rescue the wretched."

―Boba Fett, on his and Fennec Shand's survival

Fett survived his fall into the sarlacc, though he was quickly separated from his armor, which was found by Jawas and later acquired by the Tatooinian sheriff Cobb Vanth. At some point Fett acquired a gaderffii stick and cycler rifle.Though a number of rumors about his fate circulated, Fett was presumed dead due to his fall into the sarlacc.

It was a quick session and several daytime shots were taken. This was the one chosen by my children (they are the experts)

One band of Jawas was responsible for locating and reuniting C-3PO and R2-D2 after their escape pod crash-landed on Tatooine. The band subsequently sold the droids to Luke Skywalker's uncle, Owen Lars. Later, the band was completely obliterated by Stormtroopers looking for the droids. Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi then found the Jawas and burned the bodies.

"I can't abide those Jawas! Disgusting creatures!"

―C-3PO

I'm quite surprised that nobody has done this yet. If I'm wrong please let me know.

Governor Wilhuff Tarkin is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, first portrayed by Peter Cushing in the 1977 film Star Wars. He is the commander of the Death Star, the Galactic Empire's dwarf planet-sized doomsday weapon. The character has been called "one of the most formidable villains in Star Wars history.

"Following the Battle of Hoth, Imperial soldiers spend day and night searching for surviving rebels among the downed aircraft."

Battle of Hoth

"My lord, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed. Com-scan has detected an energy field protecting an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth system. The field is strong enough to deflect any bombardment."

"The Rebels are alerted to our presence. Admiral Ozzel came out of lightspeed too close to the system."

"He...He felt surprise was wiser—"

"He is as clumsy as he is stupid. General, prepare your troops for a surface attack."

"Yes, my Lord."

―General Maximillian Veers and Darth Vader

The Battle of Hoth, also known as the attack on Hoth, the assault on Echo Base, attack on Echo Base, or the defense of Echo Base, was a major battle fought in 3 ABY and was considered a major victory for the Galactic Empire and the single worst battlefield defeat suffered by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. The battle was an Imperial invasion led by Darth Vader, aimed at destroying the Rebel Alliance's Echo Base hidden on the remote ice world Hoth and capturing Luke Skywalker. The base's location was discovered when a Viper probe droid, deployed by Darth Vader's Death Squadron randomly landed on Hoth, convincing the Rebels to begin an evacuation of Hoth.

The Imperial attack force consisted of primarily AT-AT walkers, commanded by General Maximilian Veers. His army was tasked with destroying Echo Base's main power generator to allow orbital bombardment of the planet and for Darth Vader to land on the planet. Spearheading the defense of the generator was Rogue Squadron, manning snowspeeders, commanded by Luke Skywalker, renowned for being the pilot who destroyed the first Death Star. The snowspeeders however did not have the necessary firepower to bring down the walkers, so Skywalker suggested an alternative tactic to trip up the walkers with the tow cables issued to every snowspeeder.

Despite the efforts by Rogue Squadron, the power generator was eventually destroyed by Veers' main AT-AT. The remaining base personnel proceeded to evacuate, as the 501st Legion, led by Darth Vader, entered the base. The overwhelming Imperial invasion forced the Rebellion to scatter the Alliance Fleet across the galaxy, leading to a multitude of scattered skirmishes across the galaxy for over six months before the Empire's sudden and crushing defeat at the Battle of Endor.

"Hahahaha! I can't believe I'm gettin' paid for this."

―Dengar, heading into battle.

Dengar, also known as Dengar the Demolisher, was a Corellian bounty hunter operating since the early stages of the Clone Wars. Dengar participated in an operation on Quarzite—during which he served as a member of Krayt's Claw, a syndicate of hunters including Boba Fett, Bossk, and Asajj Ventress—to secure property valuable to Lord Otua Blank of the planet Quarzite.

Dengar remained active through the Galactic Civil War, during which he was one of several bounty hunters hired by Darth Vader to capture Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon.

Though Dengar ultimately lost Vader's bounty to his rival and partner Boba Fett, he was later present with Bossk and Fett in Jabba's Palace on Tatooine during Solo's rescue by Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker.

In the southern hemisphere of Hoth, a huge ocean churns under the pressure of ice. The tide of the three nameless moons of Hoth causes fissures in the ice sheets, sending jets of ocean water into the icy air of Hoth. Intense cold freezes these jets into ice needles, suspending primitive ocean algae in these tall columns. A species of annelids called ice worms work their way through the ice to feed on the algae, leaving strange tiny holes. This icy world has evolved a number of indigenous life forms, including the ice creature wampa and the tauntaun. Hoth's daytime temperatures were bearable for properly dressed humans, but Hoth's nights are too hostile even for native creatures.

I am very impressed with Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Pretty sure I will need to spend many days on each trip there in my future.
