Star wars Millenium Falcon cake for Yannick

At the bottom of the ramp, Wedge calls out.

"General Solo? Chewbacca ? Are you in there ? It's Commander Antilles!"

A gruff voice answers back " What took you so long, Wedge? Get up here - I could use a hand with these repairs!"

We're still not quite sure how Stormy gets up here, but she does. I think she jumps up from the kitchen counter island.

(P.S. That's the ceiling above her head there)

Seen at Benbow lake on the Eel River.

Can I just say: Whoa! I want it!

So we tried again, and almost got em right this time. Next time, we know to give Luke a blue light saber or sabre? and we know that the Millenium Falcon isnt supposed to look the the Star Ship Enterprise... but you know, we always have a good time baking our cupcakes together. :)

I had been thinking about the gun ports for a while as I've been working on the upper section. I originally wanted to use Intherts (the right one) version because it would be possible to have the curve face inward, but I found that the left side is more screen-accurate as it is smaller (even though it doesn't curve at all). If you have any tips on a better solution, let me know!

The somewhat disappointing ending to the LEGO Star Wars exhibit, with an interesting take on a "light show", LOL

YAY! look what i bought yesterday!!!

ok, i admit it. i' m a geek. i collect stamps. and maps. and the handkerchiefs of dead people. i'm really interested in cultural anthropology and human history. stamps definitely have the capacity to give you a glimpse into human culture.

it just so happens i really like star wars so I was really excited to add these to my stamp collection. what's not to love about darth vader? he's the ultimate villain. and yoda has the unmistakable stamp of Jim Henson, one of my childhood heros.

Wookiees live much longer than the typical human. As Chewbacca got older, he would fondly recall the good times spent racing around the galaxy with Han Solo.

Not set up for the Brothers Brick Contest, but perhaps inspired by it...

On the last day we finally went to the Star Wars exhibition in Paris....
